Isn't that really almost like getting a positive?

Transitt, he gave me negative points last night. I'd never received any negative points before. I looked at it as a positive also.

There are folks on this board the I can disagree with for years and never have a derogatory comment made by either of us. Some folks just live in a derogatory world and get trapped in that negative spiral that's hard to break away from. It drags down others around them. I find that I respond to that individual in a different way than I do other posters.

not to speak for TOGC, but I think he feels like his back against the wall. He is not dumb, or mean, but man is he stubborn.

Considering that the TW fan club said he would win the east this year but instead stumbled to a 6-6 year, I doubt we'll win the conference next year. Tommy has NEVER won the conference, and the team's record is slipping not improving.

1: I've known Strat personally for the better part of a decade. He doesn't lie.
2: When we refer to an overall lack of commitment to the program, the lack of significantly improved facilities since NIXON WAS PRESIDENT, and the like, it becomes the 1200 lb gorilla which tends to dwarf the 800lb gorilla in our eyes.

I've seen very few say that Tommy is the long term answer at coach. However, some of y'all (of which you are the most vocal) think that firing him is the easy answer.....which is like patching a tire when the engine block is cracked.

As for your little statement on my rep-

I gave 20 hours a week of my time for FREE for six months working with the football program. What has your little bitch *** EVER done besides complain?

IMHO, Tommy's record as a coach FAR OUTSHINES yours as a fan.

TOGC is not an idiot. OldTiger and Transitt are not idiots. I have had pleasant conversations with all of the above--we just all see things a little different.

TOGC--it is hard for some to be negative because they know TW differently than you do. They have met a lot of the kids and maybe even had them in their homes. ( feed a player). So, when they say something negative about the program, they are no longer speaking in general terms. They are talking about real people that are a part of their lives. When someone says to me " Tiger football sucks" what are they talking about? Are they referring to my experience where I introduced my future wife to my parents at a tailgate before the game? Where I have spent countless Saturdays with my father learning not just about football, but life? Where we all proudly watched my brother in the marching band? Where I now take MY son? See, I always try to look at both sides. But, you folks that smash on the program, a lot of us feel like you are smashing on US. It is a big part of our lives and who we are. My family, and many others, bond strongly over these Saturday afternoons and nights to the back-drop of Tiger football. So, what exactly sucks? Can you see why some people get so bent out of shape?

I am not critical of youTOGc or others that are displeased. I have made my share of linear comments and I am ashamed for them. I know about or agreement--(TOGC) I agree that the program nees improvement. But, GA and folks that are fiercely loyal are not idiots. I always defend you and say you are not an idiot either. If we want to grow as a program, there needs to be room for open conversation and exchange of ideas. I get very discouraged around here because sometimes I just want to talk FOOTBALL. Yeah, I question the strategy and tactics at times because it is fun. But, anytime we talk about particulars we draw lines in the sand in both camps. With us or against us. Its is dragging this place down---

BTW, NOBODY denies we need to spend more money on upgrades. The issue is that a few of us want to upgrade the head coaching position, because it's quicker than clearing dirt and pouring cement.

TOGC simply craves attention and gets it by being a complete jerk on this board where he can hide behind his screen name. He deliberately says these things to get reactions.

The attention is his LIFEBLOOD, so taking the time to rep him just feeds his incredible ego. Negative or positive; it doesn't matter. Responding to his posts gets him his cookies, too. Hell for him would be to be completely ignored.

Dak10, however, is just a wayward youth playing Mini Me to TOGC's Doctor Evil. He is TOGC's shadow; his defender. He's just a kid; got some life lessons to learn. I cut him a bit of slack.

I have both of these guys on ignore - as well as a few others - so I don't have to read their neverending horse$h^t or participate in their attention seeking games.

Many "sunshine pumpers/happy clappers" have said this is easily the best team we've had since DeAngelo.

We are 6-6.

I think we underachieved with him and are continuing to underachieve without him.

So yes, we are failing to utilize the talent we currently have.

If we do utilize the talent we have next season we will be division (and maybe conference) champions.

TOGC--it is hard for some to be negative because they know TW differently than you do. They have met a lot of the kids and maybe even had them in their homes. ( feed a player). Where I have spent countless Saturdays with my father learning not just about football, but life? Where we all proudly watched my brother in the marching band? Where I now take MY son? See, I always try to look at both sides. But, you folks that smash on the program, a lot of us feel like you are smashing on US. It is a big part of our lives and who we are. My family, and many others, bond strongly over these Saturday afternoons and nights to the back-drop of Tiger football. So, what exactly sucks? Can you see why some people get so bent out of shape?

I am not critical of youTOGc or others that are displeased. I have made my share of linear comments and I am ashamed for them. I know about or agreement--(TOGC) I agree that the program nees improvement. But, GA and folks that are fiercely loyal are not idiots. I always defend you and say you are not an idiot either. If we want to grow as a program, there needs to be room for open conversation and exchange of ideas. I get very discouraged around here because sometimes I just want to talk FOOTBALL. Yeah, I question the strategy and tactics at times because it is fun. But, anytime we talk about particulars we draw lines in the sand in both camps. With us or against us. Its is dragging this place down---

Well said Grizz.....well said. We can all have different opinions but not making it personal is key and I think we all have differing perspectives and that is good. Well done!

Agreed. I honestly don't have a problem with anyone (except trolls) and find the bickering rather amusing. Some can take it a little too seriously.

I don't expect immediate improvements from anyone, not even coach West. But eight years no longer qualifies as immediate. He's had a tenure longer than any coach since Spook.

What I expect is player development and attention to detail. Neither are currently happening.

Going from 7 wins to 6 with a more talented team and a new DC is regressing.
