I have both a friend that is looking for a job in programming, and a helpdesk position that I know is available, if anyone knows anyone.
My friend's got a very healthy resume, and would be an asset to anyone looking for a new addition. He does mainly MS stuff. SQL, C##, etc.. He's looking for jobs like programmer, architect, data warehousing, etc. Not so much things like help desk, support, or system admin.
I also know of a great position available for anyone looking for a semi-entry-level helpdesk position. I say semi, because it would help greatly to have a healthy knowledge of any of the basic Office stuff(Outlook, Word, Excel.) Experience w/Worldox document management software would also be great. Most of the stuff can be learned once hired. They would need to be pretty sharp because 2-3 days/wk will be working in a law firm from 8-5 that outsources their helpdesk support to us. So the users are very particular. It's a pretty cool place, though. They run both MS and Novell servers. Most of which are virtual. The other days of the week would be filled running our helpdesk. Just a healthy knowledge of PC hardware and troubleshooting is all that's really needed. Most of the stuff would have to picked up once hired.
Anyway, just throwing this stuff out there if anyone's interested. You can reply here or PM me.
