We should have won. We had three of their guys with 4 fouls, and do we take it at them and foul them out? Nope. Have we learned to make a bounce pass into the block to Marques? Nope. Do we take care of the rock late when we're trying to win? Nope.

That last is almost unfair, Demario had a great game. 23 points on 9-15 from the field, 8 bounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks, 2 assists... and the two turnovers that lost it. :crying:

Iti, their guy wearing #2 was fouling, throwing elbows, everything but biting and clawing and I may have missed when he did that. Their 00, Nance is it? Could have fouled him out with 5 to go had we gone at him. They only played 9 guys total and one of them had one minute. Fouling one of those guys out would have been huge.

Plavich was just on. Our 3 pt defense is lacking anyhow, and that guy was red hot. What did he shoot, 50% or better? I never saw him shoot anything that wasn't a three till the free throws late.

Dammit, we should have won this one. Bitter pill.

The crowd was pretty good overall though... kinda the usual Bart crowd, a little passive early but the joint was rocking by late second half. I had hella fun... but it would have been better in the W column.
If Withers was really on, you could have told the actual 4500 in attendance to go home early. We had almost the same number of people at a couple Charlotte-area bars watching on C-SET.
Generally, when people who play us "have a bad night" or "aren't on" its because the defense has something to do with it.

Was one helluva game though.

I think you need to go home. There was 7,200 there... at least (and they dont even count band or cheerleaders to my knowledge). Nobody cares about Withers. If the twins were on and Marvett was on and Lewis was on... yall couldve packed up the bus and gone home early at the half.
Plavich may have been "on," which I wouldn't be inclined to agree with, but he gave up at least as many points as he scored defensively.

Eddie Basden, Mitchell Baldwin and Chris Nance are the reason we won this game.

Dont underestimate the importance of Plavich's 3pointer near the end of the game. That may have single-handedily killed us. It's not always about numbers scored, but when the points come.

Amen to that. We were within 4, then Plavich nailed that 3 pointer....GAME OVER.
Congrats to your guys in Charlotte.
They are definetly top 25.
losing to a Lutz coached team makes me sick... 03-puke

You won this game because one ref decided before the game even started he was going to give it to you. We had five steals at the top of the key, all of which would have lead to fast break layups or dunks, taken away by bogus fouls all called by the same ref. We had a sixth steal at the top of the key where we stole the ball clean, passed it ahead for what would have been an uncontested dunk, but your point guard held the guy who made the steal and the same ref who screwed us all night blew the whistle to stop the dunk.
The refs spent most of their pregame preparation reading Wither's press clippings. He evidently had an "S" on his chest in the 1st half. Because none of the 3 found any wrong doing by Withers. No walking calls, No double dribbling, no over the back fouls while rebounding.

And if Charlotte ever gets a football team, you have a D1 tailback running the point for your hoops squad. Cradle the ball, four steps, dribble, cradle the ball, four steps dribble, run into our player, hand off, dunk for Nance. Literally, he bounced it twice from in front of our bench to under the goal on Charlotte's end.
Hey Niner, Bite our collective ASSets!!!!!!! The joint was almost full by the time your guys had their first foul called. UAB always has a late arriving crowd ( parking problems??, walk up ticket sales, whatever).
Your team was verra tough, but you dont have to come in here and toss that kinda crap around after the W.
Edited due to the fact this idiot is a complete moron and obviously didn't watch the game. I normally don’t just screw with people’s posts but this guy must have been getting drunk in some seedy strip club stuffing one dollar bills down some fat chicks flannel panties in stead of watching the game. We dont care what the place looked like before the tipoff. Like I said, the crowd was slow getting in. It ultimately was getting pretty full and was clearly ROCKING hard. If you dont have anything better to do today, try playing your game tape backwards.. It probably has some secret messages for you to meditate about.

Why is it that our message board always attracts the opposing team's drunks trying to remember the game that was just played while looking through some fogged glasses?

How did I arrive at your drunk arse statement? You have two bars in Charlotte that hold 4,500 people who all happened to be there cheering for Charlotte? Hmmm. Let me guess, Ashley Simpson was there and you took her home to your place and she actually SANG you a song live in your bedroom.

[In the movie of Coming to America, the scene in the barbershop with Eddie Murphy] ....you, .... you, .... you, whose next?

He had a pretty average night for him behind the arc. Especially on the road. I mean, he only hit 5 threes. That said, I think that on 3 of his misses, you guys hit threes right after them.

He got torched defensively all night (although you made EBad look silly a couple of times). He couldn't keep up so many times with your guards or even your forwards and the rest of the team was forced to commit to another player. When that happened, you got an easy two.

BP was a big part last night, but far from the reason we won. Eddie, Chris and Mitch were bigger parts. BP came out and played pretty well and didn't take a lot of dumb shots.

It was a good game, and it was only great because we won.
Box score says he was 50% from three. That's average? Yahoo says he's 41.6% from 3 on the season. I think that is pretty much the definition of "above his average".

Wanker.
