-2. The players seemed excited about the game before kickoff, but the coaches did absolutely NOTHING, good or bad. They didn't coach at all. The coaches looked very confused and apathetic during the entire game. Take it from a guy that was sitting close enough to spit on the sidelines. The only yelling I heard was from -2 himself, when Henderson didn't get off the field in time. The staff had 2 weeks to prepare for this game, and got 70 points hung on them by a winless C-USA school--more points than 2 SEC teams put up on the Blazers COMBINED. It is simply an embarassment to the school. Mackin should seriously think about 'firing up the jet' and feeling around for replacement options. Either way, there needs to be a "Come to Jesus" meeting on Monday morning between the administration and coach. 0-4 against our two biggest rivals is not acceptable.
The true test of -2 is to see if he can gain control of the team. I predict no, and this team will finish 2-10 again this year.

Agreed. I also see no reason to believe that Callaway can right the ship...ever. We've beaten one team this year. The other "win" wasn't due to our team beating the other. Rather, Marshall lost the game. There's a difference.
Callaway is not the guy.

Shouldn't the > thing be pointing the other way (Less Than Zero)?

Maybe his nickname should be Robert Downey Jr. = Less than Zero.
Except that Robert Downey Jr. is actually a great actor. Callaway is not a great coach.

How about Coach?

To be known as "Coach," you need to coach your players. After what I saw on Saturday night, "Ball Scratcher" might be a little more appropriate.
I know that I might come across as overzealous to some, but if you guys were "wired for sound" on the sidelines of this game like me, you would be just as irate.

No, they would be convinced the reason he wasn't saying anything is that he had the ability to use telepathy.

Coach, Cleanser of the program, Our deliverer from zero, The Man making UAB a team and The best coach since Jim Hilyer were not listed as options.
Is there a reason why? Or are you just trying to stir up $hit?

It's called stirring the post. We have several of those around here that would rather contribute to any problems rather than be part of the solution. No one is happy but some do understand and know the realities of the situation.

Bwahahahahha! MB, I believe an unlikely FN-MB alliance has begun to take shape.

How about "The Janitor" since he is cleaning up Zero's mess.
11-05-2008, 11:53 AM
What can history teach us about Helton-Callaway as "The Janitor?"
At Houston (1993-99): 24-53-1 (30.8%)
It's hard to clean up when you're constantly :scout:ing your pants.

Totally Agreed. I'm glad we are now talking about some solutions.
Go Blazers.....Nothing against Callaway; we as Blazer fans just care more about our program.
