I have one question to ask Obama supporters and I would appreciate an answer to the question and not one along the lines of "how do you feel about McCain's xxxxxxx?"

Here is the question: Does it not bother you that the man you want elected President has strong ties to a domestic terrorist, sat in pupils for 20 years listening to what seems like a racist preacher, has a wife who seems a bit racist and appears only to be proud of this country because her husband is up for election, has hid where his campaign donations have come from, has lied about his ties and involvement with ACORN, has ties to the radical Michael Pflegler, has appeared to support Odinga, and has made comments such as raising taxes "out of fairness" and "spreading the wealth around"?

Again, these are all factual things and are not made up by the Republican machine. They are all well-documented but have been brushed under the rug by the media and nobody ans really pressed Obama on these things.
<<Does it not bother you>>

No, it doesn't. Because all of those are ridiculous trash issues. Obama has a far greater flaw that McCain doesn't dare raise because he needs to win Iowa and Missouri and hold the farm belt:

Corn ethanol.

Obama is in deep with Archer-Daniels-Midland. He is a staunch supporter of what may be W. Bush's most disastrous decision in 8 years of unmitigated stupidity and greed. Our corn ethanol subsidies and related regulations produce no more energy than they consume, they warp our food production, and worst of all they take food literally off the table while prices of basic commodities soar around the world and they replace healthful food (vegetables and such) on American tables with crap soaked in high-fructose corn syrup. It's a program that's had damaging impacts on illegal immigration, oil imports, environmental degradation, consumer inflation, health care (thanks to HFCS), international relations (Brazil), social structure (loss of family farms) and on and on.

There is nothing good to be said about corn/ethanol subsidies. And Obama is tied to them more tightly than the worst Republican masturbatory fantasy about Bill Ayers. But since both the Republican attack machine and the mainstream media evaluate the American voter at about the level of a typical bammer, we'll hear none of this and there will be zero incentive for Obama to alter this relationship.

So, on the ethanol issue, you think it's better to line you pockets with the dirty ethanol money in a shallow attempt to steal traditionally red states in an election (Obama) than to oppose (but apparently not vehemently enough) ethanol subsidies? You have a problem with McCain not calling Obama out on something, so you give Obama a pass for taking that stance to begin with? That's messed up.

No, it doesn't bother me. Whoever wins is who God has determined that we need. It is God's Masterpiece! We might not like His Masterpiece but how can we fight Him? We cannot. If we don't like His Masterpiece, we can just go ahead and slit our throats and get it over with. I choose to go with what He hands out to us, adjust and become accustomed to it. I have already learned that if you can learn to love everything and everybody then how will you be able to hate anything or anybody? And you find yourself happier when you find yourself not hating. Everyone has free will, so we must understand that and allow them that privilege.
Puff puff pass, Blazzy. Don't hog it all for yourself.
Okay, so I have one answer that refers to corn ethanol, one that is just an emoticon which tells me that he doesn't have a rebuttal or can accurately refute what I cited in my question, and another answer that says its God's will who will win.

I give up.
I knew this thread was going places, I'm just sad I didn't get in early to go for the ride.
It doesn't bother me at all. I've come to expect this sort of thing from politicians.

God gave each and all of us free will so it would not be logical for Him to slap us cross-eyed for making mistakes. He means for us to learn from our mistakes and that is not going to happen if we don't make mistakes. We could have learned from our mistakes many decades ago but we chose to hate the way things are in life and to blame or punish others for making things as they are. God is not going to come and save us. We are going to have to go through the mess we made for ourselves.

So far, we are doing very poorly, thus a catastrophe is likely. I wouldn't be surprised if we have only one Presidential election after this one in November 4th and will never have another President after the next term has been fulfilled. I know it's scary but we just refuse to get along with each other so it going to require that we be shaken up.
I doubt that anyone could answer your assertions, that are based on guilt by association, entirely to your "satisfaction". I will give you some of my thoughts on the campaign fuss over some of these people.

Part of his contact with these persons is that he (Obama) involved himself in urban and inner city causes--some things Republicans go to great lengths (and suburban distances) to avoid. They don't call the Republican strategy "collar politics" for nothing. Yes, a lot of inner city folks get pretty far out in their rhetoric because they are used to many decades of seeing a couple of their number used by politicians for their "token status" value. How many blacks does Shoal Creek have on its rolls since Mr Willie died?

Some old-timers like Rev. Wright are down right cynical since they are old enough to remember unpunished-(Even UNIVESTIGATED), murders, bombings, rapes, etc. with even the FBI under J.Edgar Hoover refusing to work the cases. Many listened to the Communists early on because the Commies at least publicly denounced these actions while the two major parties ignored them. Activities like those of the KKK when aided and abetted by State-- even Federal-- agents who refused for decades to intervene on the side of the victims , but took the side of the criminals by taking a "hand washing" attitude that would make Pontius Pilate envious. Most turned away from the Communists in the end because they offered no real help to make things better-- just placating words.

I suspect Mrs. Obama's remark about "finally" being really proud of America was based on this long history of seeing Black leaders patronized but eventually ALWAYS (before) cast aside before the race was completed. I would guess that if you had seen (or heard about) all those other things happening, you get a bit like a person from Missouri--"you have to be shown".

My impression of the Republican Party strategists (turned away by McCain, to his credit) to capitalize on these past associations is their search for a new "Willie Horton" stigma so they can try to scare Americans into voting for their candidate out of panic and fear. The majority of membership in the Alabama Republican Party is based on it==have you seen how few facts have been used as compared to how often they just repeat over and over "HE'S A LIBBERULLL!!!"
