For those of us watching Fox News, what is up with Shepherd Smith & his Ole Piss hat? Yes, I realize he went there, but come on ... 01-lauramac2
While he is my favorite anchor on my favorite news source, ugh Ole Miss, he is a rebel alum and his team did win the game.
I feel the same way: he is one of my favorite new anchor on my favorite news channel, but I just don't like the fact he is wearing the hat. Now, if he wanted to wear a Memphis hat, I would have absolutely no problem with that! I just don't like the fact that it is an Ole Piss hat. Or, God forbid, it could be a Piss Orange one! 04-jawdrop I guess I should be okay with that fact!
well you are already watching the most slanted news source available so you should be used to crap like that.

Nah. Fox News' leftist slant isn't nearly as bad as CBS, NBC or ABC, but I can see where it would annoy you.
What kind of hat he wears is his business, just like his sexual orientation.

Ha! Liberals crack me up
If you're talking about the red one with the blue script, he wore it during Katrina as well. It must be his lucky hat. He loves Ole Miss, no doubt about it. I can't wait to see him lose his $hit hosting his show from Oxford the week of the Debate.
and Justin Timberlake wore Tiger gear during the ESPYS

Nope, he really wore Memphis stuff

I guess that is why Fox News is the number 1 news station and has the number 1 news-talk show in "The O'Reilly Factor."

Since all stations are liberal bias and Fox News is not, it is kind of in a monopoly with the non-lefties.

I wish liberals would understand this. And they say we conservatives are the closed-minded ones...
check the stats see what channel's viewers thought we found WMDs in Iraq. A little hint it wasn't the "liberal" news sources. People are sheep.

Kind of funny how every national power on the planet said they had them, and Iraq even used them on their own citizens (Mustard gas, 1980s)

Well anyways, I guess this thread is off to the politcal forum..
ummm every nat'l power?? This thing called the UN kinda couldn't find any and they represent "every nat'l power" so you might want to put down the fox news Kool-Aid and pick up a newspaper.

Are you referencing Iraq keeping the UN inspectors out of the country and denying them entry? Or are you referencing the 17 UN resolutions Iraq violated?

I guess according to you Bush went there for oil right?

:)
At first, when I read the title of the thread, I thought you were referring to Shep Wilbun, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, WISE GUY, woop boo boo boo!!!

Oh right, maybe we should read that liberal paper the New York Times, or the Washington Post perhaps. I forgot they're Always right. And the UN is a joke
Shep went to Mississippi (BUT, he did NOT graduate)....glad he enjoyed the game...i mean, at least he went there...how many ignorant UT fans have never once been to Knoxville, let alone went to school there.

who really cares who's he is a fan of???

Go Tigers!!!

03-confused Are you referring to Shemp? .....Shemp Howard of The Three Stooges?

Shep Wilbun is a former Shelby County Juvenile Court Clerk.

and still manages to make about $7 million a year.

Ole Miss now lists him as a "famous alum" in the media guide and other marketing things, so they must have "figured something out."

He's in Oxford a pretty good bit, bought a condo downtown not too long ago. His brother sits a couple rows below me at the Tad Pad.
He and geraldo get way too carried away with storms.
They could barely report! lol
Fox is my station but I could do without the dramatics by those two.

Considering the crowds ya'll draw, you should have plenty of opportunity to talk to him. Just kidding. Congratulations on the win.

Yes, this is good advice. Fox News has the temerity to actually discuss both sides of an issue, something most newspapers have long since dispensed with. They only give you what you need, the far left view without bothering about discussions and alternate view points. And, in the case of the New York Times, if there is no evidence for their assertions they do the smart thing and simply make stuff up. As their slogan says "The New York Times: All the News That's Fit to Invent." This also cuts down on the costs associated with unnecessary stuff like vetting a story or research.
Could we remove this old mrs thread?
I have to assume Boston, that Shepherd Smith has to be near the top of your list of most disliked people. lol
It's unfortunate Shep went to UMiss...but I happen to be a fan of him.

One thing I do like about him is that he's supportive of his university. He also has a presence in the community and wears his schools colors when he can on national TV.

Every university needs folks like this, and Memphis needs more of them.
Walton, I don't even know who he is and I really don't care. I also don't care about an old mrs.
I know you wouldn't watch FOX News (and really, for once, I'm not trying to egg you on or flame in any way) but I know you are well educated and aware of current events. This usually goes hand in hand with knowing most media figures. I can't imagine you not knowing who he is. I know almost every news anchor on FOX, MSNBC, FOX Business, CNN, etc...seems very strange to me.
