i think she is writn' bout the "3.7 million" ...

On the Board I learned Someone donated a considerable amount of money to UM Hall of Fame. I do not know who it was, however, as a Tiger Fan I am extremely grateful for their overwhelming generosity. It was important to me to let this wonderful benefactor know that their generosity was appreciated and to simply say Thank You from all of us who love our Tigers and deeply appreciate the gift they made.

it was 3.2 and it was the inital donation for the Hall of Fame (at least according to RC yesterday when he was on with GL). And thank you mysterious donor.

wow i hadn't heard about that donation.. I wonder if we can use some of the money toward the football program?

one could hope, can't they. its great our basketball program is getting all this money, but it is well deserved. the basketball program has reached new heights and alumni, former players, and mystery donors are help ensuring that the tiger program doesn't fall into anymore dismal years (a la tic price era). we may have a subpar season, but other than that, our program has already set sail on the course for elite programs. that national title is alluding, but i'm sure we will see her one day.

i know people are passionate about football, and of our memphis tigers (as i am); i just hope they find success as the basketball program has ... football is different from basketball and that is evident when the bcs came into play in the last century. we need former players from memphis that have had great success (issac bruce) ... some moderate success (michael stone, idrees bashir) ... and players with promise for long tenures (deangelo williams, stephen gostkowski) to donate to the football program. hopefully our football program can get into a bcs conference, so we will reap the rewards.
