I must admit....The Slickster just gave BO the talking points to win the election.

He successfully painted the GOP into a corner. If BO was listening he should hammer the GOP until the election on its failures.

I couldnt give a rats ass about either party because I know they are just flipsides of the same big government coin, but I give BC credit...He is one smart slickster.
Yeah, I have to admit it also, Clinton can really give a motivating speech.
In his element, no doubt about it.
They were talking about the themes to his past convention speeches and it dawned on me that I clearly remember "I still believe in a place called hope" and "building a bridge to the 21st century" while I really have very little recollection of any other recent nominating speeches for either party (except Gore's ridiculous kiss at the end of his)
He forgot to mention the great failures of his presidency.
1. Did nothing to stop Osama Bin Laden after he bombed our facilities around the world. 9/11 was 100% the fault of Bill Clinton. Osama Bin Laden built those terrorist camps under Clinton's watch. Clinton was the president who cut the CIA's budget resulting in the poor intelligence that didn't prevent 9/11 and the Iraq war.

2. Somalia, Hati, and Ruwanda weren't exactly Clinton's best moments.

3. Scandals throughout his presidency. Clinton brought huge mistrust to the office which didn't help Bush in dealing with the media. affairs, filegate, whitewater, paul Jones and Monica.

4.Lying under oath to a grand jury...what is more to say about the guy.

5. He pardoned a fugitive while his brother and brother-in-law made money off the pardons. The Mark Rich pardon after fleeing US tax authority is an insult to those homest people who pay their taxes. Democrats always want to raise taxes on the wealthy, but Clinton has no problem giving a pardon to Mark Rich who was a fugitive on tax charges after Rich's relatives made donations to the Clinton's campaign in return for the pardon.

6. Its wasn't Clinton's tax increases and balanced budget that boosted the economy, It was those Republican governors cutting taxes and public spending on the state level. I give credit to the technology sector for the Y2K fears that led to companies spending billions getting computers y2k compliant more than anything Clinton di.

Yet again someone is confusing a discussion about delivery with a discussion about content.

1-6...Conformation as to why I dont trush either party or its scumbag leaders.

I didn't hear much of the speech, but did hear the reaction to it. Questions: (1) It's remarkable how stupid it was to not have him on during prime time (this ain't 1988 after all), and (2) would a good Clinton speech be worth the $10 million? (I'm pretty sure that keeping John Kerry off of the stage would be worth at least half that much).

I have said it over and over again, and I am no Bill Clinton fan, he may be the best politician of my lifetime. He just makes people feel good whether or not he actually did anything is a different matter alltogether. How on earth do you think that ugly mug can pick up all the women that he did/does? He makes them feel like he cares and off come the pants.

How else should they have scheduled his speech?

Clinton - during prime time
Kerry - sometime after the second airing of South Park
