My cousin lives in El Paso...So I'm going to the UCF/UTEP game! I look forward to tailgating with y'all!! A 6pm game your time should be plenty enough time for a good tailgate party!
Any suggestions on where to go after for post game fun? Is there beer sold inside? I'm making my cousin wear UCF gear that day...he's a UF Alum...but rooting for UCF that day!!
Theres plenty of bars next to the Sun Bowl on Cincinati Street and surrounding streets.
Yes the Cincinnati Street has plenty of bars and restaurants, it is right by the Sun Bowl and the Don Haskins Center. My favorite restaurant on the Cincinnati Street is an Italian place called Ardovino's.
But if you get a chance, please visit Chico's Tacos when you visit El Paso. Only cash is accepted and it's open late to about 2 a.m. mountain time. Most would recommend getting the singles instead of doubles for the special sauce to cover the tacos. It's what most out-of-towners and celebrities love about El Paso and it's unique:

Only if you have an iron-clad stomach.

Make sure you bring those two girls with ya!
Beer isn't sold inside the Sun Bowl sorry.
Thanks guys!! The girls won't be coming with me...but you never know! I'll definitely check out that Chicos Taco place! I promised my cousin I'd leave my mark in El Paso...looks like it'll be in his own house!! haha!
Enjoy your visit but be carefull, bring some Pepto Bismol and some anti bacterial hand sanitizer.
Wish I could visit El Paso, too, but the only road game I'll be able to attend is the one against Miami (FL). I hope we get a decent showing of UCF fans at the UTEP game and at our other road games.

I would absolutely love for UCF fans to fly from Orlando to visit El Paso for our game in the Sun Bowl or even for our upcoming basketball game or a future C-USA men's basketball tourament in the Don Haskins Center. Southwest Airlines is the way to come. Just click on the link about details on visiting El Paso in my signature. I'm planning on visiting Orlando again sometime in the future. UCFGoldenKnights#1 I hope you sometime get a chance to visit our city someday.
There is a Cincinnati street in El Paso? WTF?
There is a Cincinnati street in El Paso? WTF?
Yes there is, there's plenty of restaurants, bars, etc. on the Cincinnati Street which is within walking distance of the Sun Bowl and the Don Haskins Center.
"Kern Place contains Cincinnati Street a small bar district, with bars including Hemingway's, Crawdaddy's, GeoGeske (G2), 02 Lounge, Cincinnati Street Bar, Dane's Steakhouse, Loft Bar, Fellini Film Café, Mini Bar, Marco Polo Dive Bar, Muse, and Kern Place Cigars, a cigar shop. Also considered part of the "Cinci" nightlife district are several businesses on the opposite side of Mesa St. including Black Market, Kush Lounge, Toro Burger Bar, and Zepplin's, a popular live music venue. The cross-street is Mesa located directly across from the University of Texas at El Paso. This bar scene has grown over the years and has attracted thousands to its annual Mardi Gras block party as well as after sporting events or concerts. This environment has a mix of what a big city bar scene should provide except it's scaled down. Young men and women make up the majority of the crowds who stop in between classes or after work. Weekends fill the parking lots and sidewalks"
I wouldn't think twice about a new york, or san fran, or chicago street or even Toronto street or something like that. It just seems odd that the German name of Cincy would be prominent down in El Paso. It just struck me funny. Maybe I am just too friggin tired.

How do you greet someone on Cincinnati Street in El Paso? Do you say "Hola" or "Guten tag?"

That would be great. I've seen little of the West. I would enjoy a long road trip sometime in the future.
