Hey everybody:
On Sunday, Sept 7, I am riding in a bike ride called the Tour de Pink, which raises money for breast cancer education.
I am riding with a team from Palmer Episcopal Church, the church on Main Street right across from Lovett College (and designed by the same architect at Lovett Hall and other early Rice buildings).
If any fellow Parliamentarians would like to make a modest contribution in support of my ride, here is the link:

Also, if you have ever thought about participating in a bike rice, let me recommend this one. The Tour de Pink starts and finishes on the campus of Prairie View A&M, which makes for a very good staging area. The course is slightly hilly, but only slightly - which to my mind is just about perfect. The route is well marked and goes through nice countryside. And the course offers six different distances (from an anyone-with-an-old-Schwinn-can-do-it 12 mile option to a serious-cyclist-with-funny-shoes-and-all-that 100 miles), so it really is a good ride for any level of cyclist.
You can even register as a member of our team - it's a nice group of folks and we would be happy to have you.
