Thanks, I'll check.
You are, but you wouldn't know if you lived in Memphis. I'm in Atlanta. I streamed lots of games last year on WREC. Audio is not a problem. It's free. Video is what you have to pay for on CSTV, now called CBS CS, I think.
Jeb, I found this bit of info on their Memphis Tigers news board:
"The Tigers open their season in Oxford Saturday night agains the Ole Miss Rebels. You can hear all the action starting with the pre-game at 4pm, the kickoff at 6pm and the post game immediately after the game on NewsRadio 600 WREC, Your Home of the Tigers."
I'm Catholic, please no Pope jokes
I'll be in Hattiesburg, so I sure hope the streaming thing is free from AM 60. Some say yes, some say no.
Plan on listening to the game while I'm smoking some butt and drinking some beer.

Yeah thats if you were listening on a radio

So you guys are saying it will NOT be carried on internet streaming in audio or video (unless you pay at the CSTV sight?)
This is absolutely amazing! You'd think this wouldn't be so hard to get access to, but it is.
Guess I'll watch in on Comcast CSS Sunday at 1:00 here in Nashville on Ch. 27.
You will be able to listen to the Tommy West Show live at 7:00 tomorrow night though.

Seems odd that if you are near enough to go to the game, then you can hear it on the radio. But, if you are out of town, the streaming thing doesn't work.
Of course, I have to be out of town.
For the OM game, I'm not sure if video is available on the Net, but I know audio is, unless WREC suddenly changed their policy or the SEC somehow blacks out audio on the Net, which I don't think you can do.

Thanks TripleA. I'm back to being encouraged.

We all know the streaming audio is free and working, TripleA.
The question is: Will the game actually be broadcast on it or will they plug in some Bible Holy Revival hour or paid commercial programming.
NOOOOOO!!!!! Don't tell HIM!
He'll tell his boss, and then they'll take it off the net.

If you read the 5 quotes directly above mine, some people were questioning all of it, so I was trying to be helpful, not condescending.
As for the other part, even if WREC did not broadcast a game for whatever reason, you can usually find a station on the Net that does stream it. But apparently, WREC is this time. TV Net streaming may be blacked out by the SEC, though. Don't know.

Is this confirmed?

I can find no Internet video available for the Ole Miss game, even on cstv.com, where I pay $14.95/mo for all available broadcasts. They do have the audio there. Can't tell yet if it is live. Sometimes they tape delay.
WREC is streaming the audio live if you're out of town, like I am.

This is going to be brutal listening to Wolo-having a 2 month old really pops the ol' road trip ballon.
Of course, he's wearing his Tiger one'sie to support the cause.

Like they said on their own website........
Are you using a browser other than IE??
If so, go here: http://www.wlac.com/cc-common/ondemand/faq/
I recently switched to Firefox and had to troubleshoot my problem with WLAC radio's feed earlier this month. This fixed the problem immediately. Hope this help!! ![]()
It's free and easy to install AND it transfers all your saved favorite places from your IE!!
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Give it a try. If you don't like it, just delete it!
