Monday evening at Chickasaw Country Club after the 4.3 inch midtown rain in the hour before the dinner--Tommy wowed them all.

There is a grid pick game that everybody plays and Ole Miss was listed as an eight point favorite. At my table I saw three members change their pick to Memphis after hearing Tommy.

Tommy didn't divulge much and was his usual humorous self. He did talk about the new stud RB from Miami and thanked President Raines for coming up with a major that allowed him to come here. He talked of how many area seniors are on this team and how many are serious players. He said we had four players that the pros liked.

He reiterated on how much he wanted for Ole Miss to continue playing. He commented on how they have always thought of the game as a near perfect game (as have the Tigers) and that Pete Boone told him the game had become "stale" after Memphis won two in a row.

Tommy continues to impress wherever he goes. We are very fortunate to have him as our head coach.

Memphis by seven on a late short yardage touchdown by the new RB Charlie Jones.
