Memphis coach to appear at UTEP basketball fundraiser

EL PASO - The UTEP Rebounders Golf Classic, hosted by coach Tony Barbee and featuring Memphis coach John Calipari, will be held on Sept. 13 at Vista Hills Country Club.

Proceeds will benefit the UTEP men's basketball program. Calipari, who led the Tigers to a runner-up finish at the 2008 NCAA Tournament, will be making a special appearance in El Paso.

The cost for a foursome is $400. Hole sponsorship is $200, golf and dinner is $100 and dinner is $50. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., with tee-off at 1 and dinner at 6.
