I remember that moment well.....At that point I almost expect Jeff Bower not to put the team back on the field & say forget it pack up & go home. Had he done it I would have supported it 100% after that B.S.

Congrats to Coach Bower. He did a great job and deserves to be there.
Congratulations to both Jeff Bower and Jim Carmody. They were two very similar coaches who accomplished much in their time at Southern Miss. Bower took us to new heights with fourteen consecutive winning seasons and ten bowl games while Carmody coached one of the biggest wins in USM history against Bear Bryant's Alabama squad in 1982. Both are very deserving of the award.

He deserves that honor. I do wish that the university would apologize to him for letting him go the that they did, and offer him a job like special advisor to the president or something. I understand that Jeff Bower needed to be let go after several mediocre seasons, but still USM needs to give the man his due.

With all due respect to Bower, shouldn't a royal screwing by $EC officials be something all of our coaches to be used to?

We gave him 16 years of making a great living at doing something he loved.... He will have some role in Southern Miss Atheletics when he is ready! It will probably be in a fund raising type situation though!
