"[i]Recently, an event happened that made me appreciate Rice University: I picked up my Rice diploma from the framing store and hung it on the wall in my apartment. My roommates look at it constantly, knowing that their diploma is coming in a few short months. Graduating from Rice forced me to realize that I need to start planning for life after college. I have extended myself and reached out to Rice alumni, as well as everyone else I come across. I focused my attention on meeting new people and building relationships with individuals. Going into this year, I want all my family and friends enjoy this time with me, because this is my last Rice football season."
