JD is a second team wide receiver pick on ESPN.com's pre-season All-Non-BCS/Independents Conference team.

The first-team WRs are Brennan Marion, Tulsa; Dante Love, Ball State; and Marko Mitchell, Nevada. The other second-team WRs are: Jeremy Childs, Boise State, and Bryn Anderson, Central Michigan

Other C-USA honorees are:

First team: DT-Jay Ross, East Carolina; FS-C.J. Spillman, Marshall; and K-Jose Martinez, Texas El-Paso.

Second team: TE-Cody Slate, Marshall; OL-Robby Felix, Texas-El Paso; OL-Michael Parenton, Tulane; OL-Doug Palmer, ECU; DE-Clinton McDonald, Memphis; and LB-Albert McClellan, Marshall
Can't believe UH's SirVincent isn't on there. He's a big time NFL OL prospect.

IF he can limit the personal foul penalties 03-drunk
Some love? A Tulsa WR picked over the great Dillard? Typical of ESPN, man they're sold on Tulsa. Seriously, I know Marion had a nice season with over 1,000 yards and almost as many TDs as JD last year in more games, but he's no Dillard. Todd Graham will admit that. Dillard is an AA, a potential record breaker, and has a proven senior QB throwing to him (which Marion had last year, but not now).
Looks like they went strictly by total receiving yards last year. I don't have a big problem with Marion on the first team -- he was phenomenal last year. Mitchell over Dillard is dubious though. Mitchell had more yards, but only because they played one more game. Dillard had more yards per game and almost twice as many TDs.

They also misspelled Jarett.
Tulsa (10 - 4)

vs.

Rice (3 - 9)

I think this may have been the biggest influential factor for selection. In the mind of a reporter I can imagine them thinking that if the receiver were better then his team would have done better in the W column.... just an observation.
