I'm one that got my tickets in advance. I'll be in Hattiesburg this Saturday!
USM take care of these guys! Get Nasty!
That's what I'm talking about. A little talk to get game week rolling. TO THE TOP!!
Welcome to Hattiesburg; I disagree with your political views, but the other half of your sig more than makes up for it.
*entirely meant to be a joke; not trying to start an election year debate of any sort... and that chick is hot.
I've always liked this series and I'm glad we get to tee it up again on Saturday. See y'all at THE ROCK!

Congrats to the Cajuns for selling out their tickets. I understand they are still buying more directly from USM. With a qb and a rb that both rushed for over 1,000 yds each last year, our rebuilt dline will be severely tested by your Cajuns. Come early and enjoy the tailgating. Gameday is going to be wild with our new coach and opening of the stadium expansion.
I have loved our trips to the ULaLa b/c of the foods there. Great atmosphere for a game in the Bayou on a Saturday night.
How many tickets did you have in your allotment?
Regardless of the number this is impressive and I wish all of CUSA would do this.

The number I've seen floating around from both USM and Cajun fans is 2,500 for our allotment.
Saturday can't get here fast enough.

Called the ticket office yesterday to get some extra tickets. They said they are expecting to sell another 500 to 1000 tickets to ULaLa. Pretty impressive considering our usual visiting crowds. Off the top of my head I would say it ranks fifth overall, behind NEB, MsState, Jackson State and the '99 Tulane crowd.
Is the game going to be sold out for the 1st game in the newly renovated ROCK? How ais Southern Miss's ticket sales going?
BEAT EM DOWN!
Go Knights, Go Southern Miss, Go CUSA!
No Mercy.

What is a cajun? Isn't it a style of food?
Cajun is a colloquial derivation of the word Acadian. The Acadians came to Louisiana from Nova Scotia as they were ruthlessly dispersed by the Queen of England. Many ended up in other parts of the world. Their culture produced styles in cooking, music, etiquette, dress, and all facets of life. More rustic than the French nobility, workers, businessmen, and servers who settled in the New Orleans area.
Not sure how much Gustav will affect some of the Cajuns travelling to USM. As of today, we are still planning on going, but we are definitely keeping an eye on the progress of Gustav in the Gulf.
Latest storm reports don't look good for travel from Acadiana to Hattiesburg. Reports having it landing almost exactly where Katrina did. It just doesn't look good.
It now appears that Lafayette might be getting the brunt of the storm instead of Katrina's path. Travel safe Cajun fans and here's hoping for the best wherever Gustav goes. Latest projections as of Thursday morning have it going slightly west of New Orleans and making landfall around 2 AM Tuesday

I am assuming this link will automatically update so some above information might be different by the time some people check it out.
Woke up this morning and saw that the projected path had moved back to the west and that Lafayette was directly in the path of the eye of the storm. As of Thursday morning, we are still going to Hattiesburg. We are planning to stay the night, but I have this feeling that if the state starts their contraflow plans on the interstates sometime Sunday, we may drive back after the game and start getting ready in Lafayette.
Tensions are easing here in the New Orleans area. I expect they are growing in the Lafayette area. I'll be praying that we can all relax by this time tomorrow.
Hey Cajunman02, maybe you should work for your sports information department. Here is a clip from your school's website from Coach Bustle's weekly press conference:

On Southern Miss:
RB- “It is hard right not because we have no film on them. We have film on what the coaches do from watching film of other teams
that they have coached. It is easy for them to get film of us and see what we do, and I know they have done that. I think that Larry
[Fedora, SMU head coach] will run an offense similar to ours, where they spread the field and so forth, and we will adjust to things
we are not ready for. They have some excellent personnel that we have looked at.
The ONE aspect of the game that I've not seen talked about anywhere is 1000/1000 man vs 1000/1000 history. Cajun QB Desormeaux last years 1000/1000 man going to the home of college footballs 1st ever 1000/1000 man Reggie Collier.
