Looks like Lipscomb's top recruit has opted for pro baseball instead of hoops. What kind of impact will that have on them? Seems like good news from a Belmont perspective.

I think that Lipscomb will have a rough year and be a middle of the pack and possibly lower tier ASun team. It is nearly impossible to replace a player like Ard.

How do you all think they'll stack up?
I think Lipscomb will struggle this year. My guess is that be in the bottom of the league's standing, just ahead of the new teams. First and foremost, they lost 3 seniors: Ard, Daniels, and Hopkins. No one on their roster that can replace Ard's versatiltiy and leadership. Second, I think Dedrick is a big loss for them. He would have gotten time right out of the gate.

Lipscomb does have some nice young talent. I particularly liked their point guard and one of their big men. I recall him being a force on the glass. Also, Coach Sanderson is a good coach who runs a pretty tough squad. Overall, howver, I just think they'll be too bad offensively to be any good.
I can't remember his name and he may have even graduated, but they have a bigger guy that if he can control his temper and stay out of foul trouble then he could be pretty good.
haha i love it

It will be interesting to see if Slater can keep up and have a good year like he did as a freshman. It did seem that he benefited quite a bit from the attention paid to Ard and Lakory Daniels. I can't see him having a better year without the pressure those guys took off of him. He will have some decent post play though.

That Hodzic and Pfaff are decent bangers. They'll be tough playing behind posts and getting position for boards.

Overall I'd rank Lipscomb in the "moderate suck" category.
