Summers-Taylor Stadium (STADIUM!) will host the big ETSU-King exhibition soccer match tonight at 6 p.m.

Remember when we wondered how they would be able to have night games there with no lights? We've now figured this out. Start the games early.

I'd make a comment on how it is easier to bring the wife and kids to a game at 7 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. (or 5 p.m., when the first game with Appalachian State kicks off), but why bother? It's soccer! Like it will make a difference!

ETSU Soccer- Now in our second season of playing in an incomplete yard.

By the way, here's a box score from the women's exhibition soccer game-

HEY MIKE! WHERE'S THE ATTENDANCE FIGURE?

Don't give me it's an exhibition game and its not your policy or whatever. That's a crock. Grapefruit and Cactus League games have attendance counts- as do ETSU sports like baseball and women's hoops.

You built that stadium with a ticket booth, for crying out loud!

Do they even charge admission for this stuff?

If not, then am I to believe that this, the finest soccer facility this side of St. James Park according to ETSU, has a working ticket booth for a sport where no admission is charged but NO LIGHTS OR SCOREBOARD IN THEIR SECOND YEAR???????
The attendance is at the top. Easy enough. There is even a weather report.
Ah. My bad. Grits on my face.

Or are there? 132?
There were around 20 people there.
Not to defend anybody...but you've gotta be blind, there were almost 20 just from the University School soccer team there.
I went by there during the match and estimated that there were around 75 to 100 people there. If we had a football team that drew 100 people they would terminate the program.

Wait, you should say if they had a soccer/volleyball/golf/etc. team that drew _____ (combine the numbers of attendance for all these sports) many people they should terminate those programs. Still no where close to football attendance during the years with "no interest."
