It was the subject of Penn and Teller's Bullshit, Episode 6 from the current Season 6.

OH MAN. They didn't hold back either. In the first five minutes the founder of The Weather Channel who was also the weatherman on Good Morning America in the '70s had a big ass chart correlating the planet's temp, fossil fuel emissions, and solar cycles. The solar cycles matched perfectly with the global temp, and fossil fuels went off on its exponential curve. And that's just the first five minutes.
I'm definitely with the weather channel guy. I read some of his stuff a while ago and it made total sense. I love how he points out that warming is good because the longer we have warming the longer we put off the ice age part of the cycle.
So I'm supposed to believe a couple of magicians and an old weatherman instead of these guys?

That's a lot of scientifically informed people to be wrong.

There may be a lot of hysteria and hype surrounding global warming, but unlike "global cooling" in the 1970s, this has significant scientific backing.
My experience with Penn & Teller is that they generally demure with regards to whether global warming is real or what not, but they do ridicule a lot of environmentalist hysteria. The problem is that there are volumes and volumes of stuff that is patently absurd on both "sides" of the issue. That includes various myths including "solar cycles" that have been substantially researched and are not sufficient to account for the observations, much less the theory behind anthropogenic warming.
