Anyone ever see Wikipedia's listing for East Tennessee State?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Tennes...ballCost-7
Anyway, for those that don't know, Wikipedia can be hit or miss because anyone can post and make changes to it. Supposedly they are correct if someone posts something offensive or untrue, but that can also be subjective.
But how about this paragraph-
The end of the ETSU football program permitted the "Mini Dome", the largest building on the ETSU campus, which served as an U.S. indoor arena venue for college football and track and field competitions, to be used for other purposes. The Mini Dome has hosted many non-athletic events which could not be housed in an indoor setting on most American college campuses. The dollar savings that resulted from ending the ETSU football program was equally divided between both the ETSU athletic and academic departments.
WHAT?
HUH?
What do they mean this has allowed Memorial Center to be more diverse? It means they have concerts there now and because of that short sightedness the venue is forever obsolete with 6,000 empty seats at all times.
Or that events are held there that couldn't be elsewhere? Most college basketball arenas hold concerts and the like!
Or the dollar savings has been divided between athletic and academic departments?
Remember when a political staffer got in trouble for amending a candidate's profile on Wikipedia?
I want to know who at ETSU wrote that!
