We need your help - We are working hard as a parent group to transform what has been the Rice Cheerleaders and a few parents greeting the team when they arrive on game day to a full “Owl Walk” filled with students, cheerleaders, the MOB, fans and parents. We hope to have huge crowds for each home game and we need all fans to participate. We will repeat the plan listed below each home game 2:15 hours before the scheduled kick off.
Game One:
OWL WALK
Please plan to arrive on Friday afternoon no later than 4:30. The Owls will be arriving at the stadium between 4:45 and 5:00 PM and you’ll want to be a part of the Owl Walk. Let’s line the sidewalks on both sides from University to the stadium and let our team know how we feel about them. The team will arrive at the corner of University and West Lot 5 near RV parking.

The MOB should time their arrival to preceed the team into the stadium as part of a pre-game experience. Cheerleaders too!
Heck, getting the cheerleaders there will increase the crowd by at least one board member
I'd like to see this grow into some sort of tradition like on other campuses. Even the short walk in Omaha is nice as the team gets off the bus.
