If so, I recommend the Crowne Plaza Union Station. This is the old Indianapolis Railroad station and it is both beautiful and convenient to downtown Indianapolis (great blues at The Slippery Noodle). You can even book and old Pullman car as your room. There is one caveat: Rates sky-rocket on Dec. 31, so plan on getting out that day.
Im starting negotiations with the wife to make the trip ( Her family is from Indiana ).
I'm catching a lucky break on this one. Christmas with the family, then depart for Louisville on Dec. 26, Louisville game on the 27th, then off to Indianapolis (there will be a couple of nights in cheap motels in small Indiana towns to save cash), then on the 31st, head back to Detroit! Hopefully, with 2 wins in tow.
I plan on making the Butler trip.

C'mon, might as well hit Louisville on the way!

I can only do one of those and it will be Butler.

I'm in. I love Indy, great town and very clean.
I might be there since I can stay with family in Tipton. My grand-daughter is looking at the pharmacy school at Butler for next year so I may be alone in pulling for UAB.
I'm going to Butler, and I'm still deciding on Louisville.
You gotta love Indiana. Some d-bag owns the rights to the "Waffle House" name and won't give em up to the real Wa-Ho. As a result, every Waffle House in Indiana is known as "Waffle & Steak."
I plan on both Louisville and Butler would love to add cincy to that trip.

Protecting his property rights doesn't make him a d-bag. If he incorporated in Indiana before they came around it belongs to him. The d-bags are the large companies that come into a new area and force the established locals to give up their name.

BTW, I like Waffle House (the national chain one).

I'm hoping to be at Louisville and Butler.
For those saying they are planning on Louisville, do you know for sure you have tickets. With the home team there this year instead of Kentucky, tickets might be tough.

Hopefully the Athletic Dept. can pull something together, but if not we'll just go the Ebay route. That road trip is my Christmas present so we better have tickets 05-mafia

I might go.
