Hey Mach, remember when you were creaming in your pants about his movie and telling everyone they just HAD to see it?

Jesus tapdancing Christ, people. Don't say I, and many, many others didn't warn you.
No surprise here. It's typical for the rich and well-to-do liberals to tell us what to do, to tell us to sacrifice for the benifit of others, only to ignore follow their own preachings while living high on the hog.

Just like it's typical for the conservatives to pretend like there isn't a problem just so they can pretend to have a clear conscience of it. Unless its a country they don't like, then you're un-American if you don't want to immediately bomb the sh*t out of them.

You're going to have to post some of those conservatives. You know, for context and all.

The Goracle is out there doing EVERYTHING he says YOU shouldn't do. He's a GDamn Bourgeoisie and we're all f'n proletariats.

I was being facetious to combat smn's broad generalizations of liberalism. Though, the stereotype came from somewhere so there has to be some conservatives who act and feel that way.

I don't care what the "Goracle" does. He's a pompous, hypocritical moron. But he certainly isn't bourgeoisie, since bourgeoisie means middle class. I kinda doubt that you are a member of the proletariat, you don't strike me as a member of the poorest class who doesn't have any property.

To me the most telling thing about Al Gore is that I have a friend who grew up in Knoxville, he has known Al Gore since childhood, he is a left-of-left liberal democrat, and he is gay.

In 2000, he voted for W.

Um, no. That's incorrect. I hate using this site as a source, but...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourgeoisie

...and yes, Al Gore and every other Democrat out there is trying to do their damnedest to put me in the poor house. How? By taking what I have and giving it to people who didn't work for it, for votes. They want two classes, the rulers and the ones who eat cake. They don't want to lift anyone up, they want to give'em just enough to get a vote. .....while THEY live like f'n kings. THEY don't have SS. WE do. Why is it good enough for us, but not them?

Then don't use it as a source.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/bourgeois

A bourgeoisie is a member of the bourgeois class. Bourgeois is defined as:

Quote:
1. a member of the middle class.
2. a person whose political, economic, and social opinions are believed to be determined mainly by concern for property values and conventional respectability.
3. a shopkeeper or merchant.
–adjective
4. belonging to, characteristic of, or consisting of the middle class.
5. conventional; middle-class.
6. dominated or characterized by materialistic pursuits or concerns.

Also, just because you feel, for whatever reason, that every Democrats is trying to put you in the poor house, that doesn't mean that you are in the proletariat. Maybe if you were doing manual labor for low wages, then you could consider yourself in the proletariat.

I'm just going to ignore the rest of your incendiary rant because it would be no point in trying to disprove such nonsense.

What are you afraid of? Right now 50% of the country are paying for 50% of it's operating costs. ...and unless I'm mistaken, you're voting for someone who wants to make'em pay even more. I'm IN the "tax-paying" class and I'm tired of having my tax dollars be doled out to a bunch of leeches for votes.

If Al Gore ate babies it wouldn't change the climate change arguments. Also the bourgeoisie-proletariat terms are kind of dated. I'm not sure they are the best terms to use now.

I'm not afraid of your baseless comments and incendiary rants. I just find it painfully futile to try to have a meaningful debate with someone who refers to those who disagree with him with expletive-laden insults and ignorant generalizations.

Pretend there isn't a problem? Which side of the House decided to go on a 5-week vacation and won't vote on an energy plan?

Seriously? I already said I was being facetious.

And the Democrats' (primarily Pelosi's) vacation is more of a childish temper tantrum because they don't want to compromise than ignoring the problem. Besides ignoring problems is not a Democratic trait; their trait is to overexaggerate the problems.

I thought that Washington is typically vacated during August every year.

It is, but I think this was the first time they've left without voting on an energy bill.

Time for niceties are over. If you're offended by the profane nature of someone's posts, maybe you should find another hobby besides politics. I'm not normally profane when I'm discussing sports; politics, however, is another story. When "I'm" personally affected, the way I debate changes and yes, I'm sick of the damn creeping Socialism into this country. Deal with it. ...or hell, don't deal with it. Really not my f'n problem.

I didn't ask you to stop, genius. I just said I refuse to debate politics with someone who can't make a point without insulting someone.

Exactly why I'm not looking forward to the next four years.

Or looking forward to spending them elsewhere.

Im sick of both the creeping socialism and facism. Neither side of this big goverment coin has much to be proud about.

...except Fascism and Socialism are closely related and in no way, shape, or form related to Capitalism.

So you are OK with both as long as we have Capitalism?
Why not neither and just free market voluntary society?

If Al Gore had won his "home state" of Tennessee, he would have won the election. Instead he won his "home state" of Washington DC :)

I still think that tells us more about that election than Florida did.
