Recently the headphone jack on my iPod stopped working, and the warranty has expired. Has anyone here had any experiences with online vendors to repair iPods, and is there a company that anyone would recommend? I'm not to keen on doing it myself - rather pay a little more and have someone experienced (presumably) do it.
How old is the Ipod? If it is more than a year or two old you are probably better off buying a new one.
It's a little over two years old, but Apple isn't getting $300 of my cash every couple of years because the headphone jack is worn out. I'd just as soon try something else out.
well there's supposed to be a lot of good repair people who fix ipods. apparently it's a burgeoning business. at least, it is in the NYC area.
I cant see them charging much less than 150 bucks to fix it, I just cant see how it would be worth it.
Every repair I've heard of on an I-Pod that's out of warranty has been approximately the same price as purchasing a new I-Pod.
