I missed this series earlier this week but I'm catching up tonight. So far I am impressed with the job CNN has done with this programming. Should be eye-opening for a lot of people.
Has anyone else watched this? If so, what did you think?
I typically don't watch things focused on race because I feel that it just perpetuates the negativity. However, I did read a few articles and found some of it interesting, particularly the article titled "Is marriage for white women?"
Another interesting article focused on a study that was done at Stanford, I believe. It focused on the ability of a black male (in prison vs. no criminal record) to get a reasonable job. Those who were incarcerated previously had virtually no chance at getting a job. The study also found that those who had NEVER been in trouble with the law had roughly the same percentage of landing a job as a white felon.

What were the inputs into that study? Was it on mere statistics or did it take other factors into consideration?
The series actually got a thumbs up from Dan Abrams at MSNBC, so it must have been good. MSNBC normally hates anything they don't do themselves.
