ASUN.org has assembled a prospectus for the upcoming season. Neat to see a snapshot of every team.

Good find. Unless I overlooked them Green and Chambers were not on Kennesaw's roster. Possible qualifying issues?

This is nice, but I could have made this in an hour. I sometimes wonder what the people at the conference office do. They sure don't respond to e-mail or get our conference games telivised. The staff appears to be quite large; I wonder how much those salaries are...

I just wonder....

I sure hope not with regards to Green and Chambers...we will need them both.
I agree KB. Both are needs but the fact that we didn't get press releases on either worries me.

Really dude...an hour...do you really think could contact all 11 schools and get their information, compile an updated record book, proof it and send it out to the world inside an hour. Tell ya what, I'll come to your place of work and a stopwatch 03-banghead

As for the "staff appears to be quite large" comment - I went to their site, they have 3 members of the communications staff and complete staff of 9. For comparison the Big 12 has a staff of 30 and 6 with communications in their job title.

Hey Smart Guy, you don't have to contact each school. Have you ever heard of the internet? Well each and every school has this information on the internet. And, Yes! I believe I could copy and paste this information from each website in an hour.

Please don't compare the Atlantic Sun to the Big 12. How much money does the Big 12 bring in each year? Plus the Big 12 is probably the second best football conference in the country.

What does the A-Sun staff do? It certainly doesn't appear they are trying to make the conference better. The A-Sun is the toilet bowl of division one and we all know it.

Please do your homework before you comment on something I post.

Additionally:

Harvey Pearlman, the chairman of the Big 12's board, announced this week that the league's current revenue-sharing model will remain in place as the conference divvies up a record $113.5 million distribution to its member institutions. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3409420

The best I can tell each Atlantic Sun Conference team gets about $100,000 in revenue sharing which would equal around $1.1 million in revenue (if the conference even makes money). http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_...e-fro.html

So basically if you take the total revenue and divide by the number of staff the conference has, the Big 12 makes about $3,783,333.33 per employee while the Atlantic Sun makes about $122,222.22 per employee. The next time you try to make a comparison, please don’t compare apples with oranges. You cannot compare the Atlantic Sun to the Big 12. You probably can’t even compare the Atlantic Sun to the So Con when it comes to revenue and efficient use of employees.

My problem is that the Atlantic Sun Conference and many of the member schools appear (subjective-my opinion) to be satisfied with the status quo.

Welcome Coast Fan. You certainly have jumped right in the mix.

What's are you and other FGCU fans expecting of your squad this year?
