No way a smaller version of that would work in Birmingham. What company or business in Birmingham would want to work in something like that? Crazy I tell ya just crazy!

Maybe Larry was their muse in deciding whether to remain a desert "no place" (first picture) or a candidate to host a future Olympic Games. How many locals opposed even the first steps as "You have got to be kidding!!! We are just a backwater ( though oil rich desert town) and no one wants to come here."

Thanks for the link. I will definitely be making a trip to Dubai again in the future. I had the pleasure of going there in 2002 while in Afghanistan.

That's nuts.

It's amazing how fast those crazy building are going up. That moving skyscraper is still in the planning stage and expected to be built by 2010!!!! I'm guessing because they don't have an OSHA.
