Shame. The Nazi won.
I really hoped the Nigerian would get it. The first black Pope would have been an interesting experience.
The stupid thing is that the dude is already 78.
I think John Paul was like in his late 50s or early 60s when he was elected Pope.
Ratzinger will be dead within 20 years...I wonder how many people live to see more than three Popes in their lifetime?

You're ignorance is simply amazing. Ratzinger is not and has never been a Nazi. Just because you are from Germany does not make you a Nazi. He was forced to join the hitler youth against his will. He also defected from the German army which he was conscripted into. What makes you say he is a Nazi.
I would assume someone with your racist views would welcome a Nazi.
And yes, in most liklihood he will be dead within 20 years. So what.
And for your information, there have now been 5 popes in my lifetime.
Pope John XXIII - 10/1958-6/1963
Pope Paul VI - 6/1963 - 8/1978
Pope John Paul I - 8/1978 - 9/1978
Pope John Paul II - 9/1978 - 4/2005
Pope Benedict XVI - 4/2005 - PResent

you kill me sax. this is only the second pope that i have seen, but JPII was the 3rd longest reigning pope in history. most people see about 6-7 popes in a lifetime given that they are older than 60 most of the time. JPII was pope for so long because he was 58 when elected. he came out of nowhere to win the papacy. read up on papal history first.

I've decided to write an article for my website giving my point of view rather than type it over and over about 50 times.
Just so everyone's aware, I am a Cradle Catholic (Catholic from birth) and am in my early 20's.
The link is in my signature. Please feel free to comment here, or on my website.

Does Ratzinger even speak Italian? In what language will he address the public during Masses?
04-19-2005, 05:02 PM
According to several people I've talked to that follow this sort of thing, everything that has happened in the past couple months with the situation with the pope is coinciding with another of Nostradmus' revelations. According to Nostradamus, the current pope will last about a month (either die, be assasinated, etc) and then a new pope will be elected. The next pope, though not the anti-Christ himself, will signal the rise of the anti-Christ. Not a firm believer in all these things, but if this pope dies in a month or so, some people better start praying.

New pope doomed - Nostradamus
06/04/2005 20:41 - (SA)
Bogota - The pope elected to succeed John Paul II will be assassinated and his death will spark a Muslim invasion of the West that will split the Roman Catholic Church, according to an interpretation of Nostradamus' prophecies by a leading Colombian author.
Gonzalo Echeverri, a Colombian investigating judge and author of a book on Nostradamus, said: "The next pope elected will be subsequently murdered in central Italy.
"Then comes pope No 112, who will flee Rome because of an attack by Muslims."
According to Echeverri, the pope will base himself in Avignon, France, and another pontiff will take control in Italy, splitting the Catholic church in two.
"There is a clear prophecy that says the holy father will move to another place, even warning that the French pope will not be able to stay in Avignon due to the Muslim invasion and will flee again to Lyon, where he will be attacked, according to Nostradamus," Echeverri said.
Avignon was a base for popes for much of the 14th century, another time of grave divisions in the church and Europe.
Nostradamus was a 16th century scholar who made prophecies. His supporters say he predicted the French revolution, the rise of Hitler and the assassination of President John F Kennedy.

First, racist comments about blacks.
Now, racist comments about the new Pope and his ethnicity.
Will it ever end?

The actual quatrain from Nostrodamus says that this pope would come from "Ancient France" ...many say that this immediately disproves the prophecy given that Ratzinger is from Germany. However, a quick look at ancient maps will tell you that parts of Germany (including the birth-town of Ratzinger) was once part of ancient France. Coincidence? Maybe.

I think that Nostradamas also predicted our win over Kentucky last year.
And. Nostradamas has predicted that I will have a chicken sandwich at Wendys before the week is over.
I have never read anything that Nostradamas wrote, but apparently he was vague enough that you can say he predicted what ever you want him to predict. Plus you never hear about the things he supposedly predicted that did not happen.
