in rossville...has anyone been there. oh my goodness, it is now my favorite place to eat. it only has 12 tables, and when we got there the other night it was a 45 min to a hour wait. but man is it worth the wait!!! i got my usual catfish, my husband got a hamburger, i was expecting it to be a awesome greasy burger but it wasn't and they had even smoked the bacon outback with the bbq...it was awesom. and they have every cobbler and pie you can think of...and it's homemade.
I've been there, but it's been a while. When I don't want to drive as far I go to Leonard's for their catfish. Delicious.
I've eaten there several times and it is good. However, Somkin' Catfish in Sardis just off the interstate has a catfish buffet that is much better and a shorter wait. Closer to me too.
hernando, i may have been there, not sure though. we went back this weekend and decided to try something different and got the wolf river burger...best hamburger i've ever had, darn that thing was good. i would move to rossville so i could eat there everyday.lol

Sounds like a good place...me and the missus will have to check it out soon.

Speaking of out of the way restaurants, have ya'll been to Vinegar Jim's in Arlington yet? They've got some steaks and fried pies that are quite the treat...low prices to boot!
wolf river is awesome. Grew up going there for dinners with the family and grandparents. Their catfish is great. Blackberry cobbler there is awesome. Plus, you gotta love the curly fries.
I go to Wolf River at least twice a month. My new fav is Braden Station on hwy 59 at hwy 70 in Braden. They are only open thursday, friday and saturday but the food is great! Seafood and veggie buffet come hungry!
germantowntiger, i just moved from arlington to collierville actually. i moved back home with my parents while i was planning my wedding. i have been to jims a few times, and wolf river is waaaaaaay ahead of vinegar jims. vinegar jims is ok, the only thing i've gotten there that i've really enjoyed was the blackened catfish. go to wolf river!!!!

oakland steve, ive been wanting to try there but i know you have to get there early and my husband doesn't get off from work on fridays till 7 and saturdays at 6

i will probably be going tonight yay!!!
I love that Braden Station, too. My ancestors are from Mason down the road, so I visit relatives out there occasionally. Worth any wait you have to do, esp. on the porch if the weather is nice.

Oakland Steve, so nice meeting you at the Tiger party the other night.
Next time you go, try the banana pudding. It's to die for.
i will admit i haven't had their banana pudding. i've had some of their pie's and cobblers MMmmmm
