Everyone scores at least 40 points in the WAC and C-USA.

UCF didn't win the championship because it scored 45 points. It won because it was the only team in the conference who could figure out how to keep the opponent from doing the same.

See UCF allowing 10 points to an SEC team in their bowl game while ECU, despite winning, let up like 40 to a WAC team. Just like the much less talented 2005 UCF team in the Hawaii Bowl a few years ago - lost 49-48 or something ridiculous. Games like that should just call both team the loser.

This thread is a prime example of why I hate UCF.

I think the only team I truly want to beat the life out of here is UCF. I guess we have to put the annual smack down on you at your house again.

Despite winning nice story, & nice story about your defense & including us except that we put 52 on you & beat your ass. You are certainly right, you looked like big losers than night & were.

You want to know how you played defense? You handed the ball to your RB who carried it more than any other college football player in the history of the game & watched him eat clock keeping the other team off the field. Not a bad strategy except it is boring and uninvented, but it worked against most teams in CUSA last year, except ours. One problem with that as it relates to this year is well he is gone. He's gone & so are several of your starters off that line that made it possible.

2 years ago ECU gave up an average of 20 points a game. The vast majority of that front 7, two deep is still on this team & improved & now JR's & SR's, Athlon says we have the 10th best D-line in the nation & Phil Steel put 9 ECU defensive players on the all CUSA teams. Our problem last year was an inexperience secondary. Good news for us is all but one on that 2 deep is back & experienced now.

Oh & BTW Boise State was ranked & has a hell of an offense where as Miss State was an also ran that averaged 21 a game, played like garbage & still beat you. & anyone that watched that borefest bowl came away feeling like a loser. Promise you, it was that bad. I know your fans did because you were losers.

So your loss in a bowl is better than our win in a bowl over a top 25 team. Whatever it takes to help you sleep at night, I guess. Oh, you didn't keep us from outscoring you either. IIRC our defense made your QB's look like total losers. Get a life!

Annual smack down? You're 2-1 against us in the new CUSA, and we're 2 for 1 in winning the division. I'd hardly call that "annual smack down." And you still don't manage to grasp that we beat ourselves last year with idiot turnovers. Don't pretend you laid the smack down on us like USF did...you were getting dominated until our team forgot to hold on to the ball.

So what would you call your one and only victory over ECU when we had 6 turnovers???

A fluke, just like the UCF loss last year where we did the same thing.

Or maybe just maybe we could call it....Football??? UCF forced those 6 turnovers against us to win that game a couple years ago and deserved to win. Last year our defense was all over your QB and forced him to make some bad decisions. We also popped the RB's pretty hard on those fumbles so I would simply say ECU played more aggressive football last year and that night we were better then UCF.

I like the ECU vs UCF series because our fans already care about the game and look forward to it. This years game should be a great one. Both schools have good Defense. I know this years ECU defense will be the best one we have had in years. We both have question marks in replacing 24K and Chris Johnson and as usual this game will have huge significance on the CUSA East race.

So....
UCF loses all everything Kevin Smith and UCF will be worse without, but when Boise St. loses their MVP for the bowl game versus the EZU then it's an EZU victory over a ranked team....

Ian Johnson played in our bowl & was ineffective as was their running games outside a couple of draw plays after they started passing the ball. I don't think BSU even got a first down until the 2nd quarter & by that point they had to stop running the ball because we had a 3 touchdown lead. We took Ian Johnson out of the game.

I'm certainly fine with our season last year & actually winning a Bowl & being the only team in new CUSA to even beat a ranked team in 3 years. You can enjoy that 52-38 turd we laid in your dream season as well. Savior it along with your USF beatdown, & bowl embarrassment every time you reminisce about your fantasitic dream season winning the #13 ranked conference by one game with some help because you couldn't beat us yourself. Enjoy that stain on the side of it the dream year. Has to leave a stinky smell for a so called dream year especially watching us close the year on a higher note than anyone in new CUSA has.

UCF beat 3 teams that ECU lost to last season. Two out of the three we had to play on the road while ECU played them at home.

It sure looks like the only fluke was the ECU game. Did you also see our Marshall score?

UCF is a joke.

Please, you can't compare a true rivalry game with NCSU like we have, or preseason favorite USM early when they were still healthy with & had their QB. Spin it, but we settled our game on the field & it was hardly a fluke. It's the norm of what happens when we play.

God if I had to live with our "dream season" including beatdowns by teams like UNC & UCF, & a loss in the boringest bowl of the season to close the season to an also ran like you guys that has to leave a terrible taste I would puke just thinking about it .

You know I can't take credit Shorebuc, it was your inspirational idea. It just needed a little updating (key word little) since they have been working on getting something in there. What is it with your perpetual hard-on with UCF? Anytime anybody mentions UCF you have to come out and start talking? This is an unhealthy obsession for you. When is the last time you got laid? And as for losing, you lost to Marshall, NC State, and Southern Miss, teams we beat. So hang in there.

Add that we had to played NC State and Southern Miss on the road while ECU had them at home. :)
