According to an article in the Johnson City Press today, Mike Smith, head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, has agreed to be the guest speaker next year at the meeting.

Donnie Abraham and others will be there as well. This should be an exciting year for us.
It's taken 5 years, but the JC Press is starting to be critical. I love it. I know how Stanton and Mullins despise being put in a bad light...and its about freaking time. Looks like the JC Press will play lapdog, no more.
That's Trey. Avento and Hodge are still the beat writers and still will play the company line or fear getting shut out or martyred.
That's right. Kelly is the beat writer and with all the "perks" from Mullins (ETSU media passes for the Final Four and who knows what else), he's started to see things Mullins' way (wink wink). Trey could care less if ETSU revokes his press pass to their games, he doesn't need it. He probably had to talk Kelly into letting him write an article that was critical after football was dropped. He's been the only one to question decisions that have been made. Yeah, Kelly may be critical of a team or coach every now and then with a snide remark here or there, but I can't recall any time where he's criticized a member of the administration. That's a sign of being sold out to me. When you see problems occurring and just turn a blind eye, you're sold out.
In his defense, I do remember Trey writing a column stating that the athletic department had suffered under Paul Stanton.
Trey's written a lot of columns critical of the admin over the last few years. I think Joe Avento may have written 1 or 2, but I've never seen any criticism or questioning from Kelly.
