Does anyone see any change to the congressional delegation from Alabama? I do not. I find it interesting that at least one of the ones that is in there now ran on a platform of term limits.... that was 1992.

BTR
I like both Shelby and Sessions. They're cool in my book 04-rock
Which congressman spoke about term limits?
I believe that would be the honorable Spencer Bachus.

I don't see any changes in the near future.

Even though both Sessions and Shelby support the death penalty, and Sessions is even against federal funding of DNA testing to help prove innocence.

Every Congressman has a negative...as do other governmental positions (i.e. President)

You would be correct. While I do agree with Spencer on most issues, I think it is hypocritical to enter office on a platform of term limits and still be in office 13 years later.

What? Keep a campaign promise?

He gave up term limits a while back when his first term ended and "I still have so much to do for the good people of Alabama."

For the record, I like Bachus too. Except for that.
I have asked him about it. He said that he supported term limits but it did not pass.

I guess he did not support them enough to enact self-imposed term limits.
