First an article out of Memphis about being in serious discussions with the Big Easy. Next, an article from another CUSA alum, from a different school, expressing his preference to be independent than be affiliated with CUSA. Finally, ECU comes out and says they'll play FOR FREE just to get out of CUSA and into the Big East.

I can not believe that I am going to agree with you on something. But I have to admit that this is a great board, with a lot of good posters. I really enjoy the banter between the fans of the schools and whatever happens or does not happen, this is a pretty good board with lot of very lively posters.

Now that I have said that, let me also say that fans from the MWC do not have any room to talk crap. You just better hope that BYU, Utah or TCU don't get jumpy.

It means no one in our geographic footprint is looking to expand anytime soon. The Pac 10 and Big 12 are done with expansion.

Yeah..... their football, baseball, team sucks. Memphis lost in the basketball final. Memphis looks great and ofcourse the BE will take a look.

I think the best point is that you want to invite sunbelt/trash. Memphis will stay in C-DOA. ECU will stay in C-DOA. The C-DOA teams dont deserve to be in the BE.

Utep is the one that sucks! We all know utep's football program history. Utep lost its bowl game to a nobody. Utep doesnt even have a baseball team. Utep was rejected by the mwc.

UNLV is such a power. I am so jealous!

If Memphis or ECU or even both leave and we are stuck all alone in the northeast of the conference with the closest school being UAB, then we must add Ohio, Navy, or Temple in all sports. If we add TCU, La. Tech, or Troy without adding another northeast team then I would rather be in the MAC as to be the Hawaii of C-USA, not even close to another school. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy C-USA, but if the C-USA officials don't add Ohio, Navy, Temple, or at least WKU then I would feel that they don't want us anyway and would rather go back to the MAC where they love to hate us.

Or it could mean the MWC's markets are crappy.

and where has the MWC gone through all of this? Oh yes, TCU, which never dominated C-USA, absolutely dominated the MWC for 2 seasons.
Othewise, still bankrupting bowls, still have computer rankings and 7 of yall are nothing but BYU's man-servants. And nothing close to compelling in any other sport.
the point is that C-USA's been prodded, ripped, pounded on, stolen from, and in the end we STILL have a bigger revenue stream than the MWC and the MWC is STILL going nowhere.
