Just picture it.....
A man wants to take his family to Legion Field for a UAB game. He leaves the house at 4:30, knowing that he'll have plenty of time to get to the stadium for the 6:00 kickoff. Needing tickets, he pulls into the lot near the Gate 6 entrance, and finds that he's able to pull right up to the 1st parking spot. Needing tickets, he begins the walk down Graymont Avenue, thinking he's going to have to find a scalper. Before he gets to the corner, a UAB official comes up with a fan of free tickets, to be passed out to try and put fannies in the seats. He asks "Where are they located?"....the UAB official exclaims "Where do you want to sit, my friend?". After deciding to satisfy the kids who want to sit near the huge SMU banner, even though you preferred 4 on the 50, 20 rows up, you take the free tix and head on in to settle in your seats just as the Blazers gather in the tunnel to take the field for the opening kickoff. As the band strikes up the fight song, the green and gold take the field with the thunderous roar of nearly two or three hundred screaming Blazer fanatics blasting your eardrums. When your son turns to you and says "I love you, Dad, thanks for making BlazerBall so special to me", you know that you could never be happier.
