would only last a short time, the guy thrives too much on stringing folks along with his annual "I haven't decided yet" routine to wantto give it up completely once and for all. That tired schtick still has a few years left on it, so why not run it to its full course, but even I thought he'd wait until summer to begin entertaining thoughts of a "comeback", then swoop in right at the end of training camp to save the Packers, and give the people of Wisconsin a chance to exhale.
Favre and Roger Clemens.....aside from the use of steroids and HGH, they're cut from the same cloth........both thrive on the media circus that surrounds their annual "am I or am I not" spiel. Both will pop up from time to time even years after most sports fans have forgotten about their careers, as great as they have been. Both seem to love to be surrounded by the whirlwind press coverage that follows their every move each year, waiting for a decision.
Favre retire? PLEASE....... He's too wrapped up in the frenzy his "annual decision" creates.
First off, I wouldn't compare Favre and Clemens. They are totally different. Clemens does enjoy the annual courting, but I think that is done. Favre, towards the end of his career, didn't play the retirement game because he enjoyed the media attention. If he enjoyed the attention he would live in a big city instead of outside frickin Hattiesburg. I think he struggled with the fact that the game was getting harder for him to play due to him aging. That guy is a gamer through and through.
Why would he bite the hand that feeds him? He has business ventures in Green Bay that would suffer if he were to join another team. There will be days where he flirts with going back but it is for the love of the game and thrill of competition rather than the media attention. If I was in his shoes I would probably do the same.

He milks it for all its worth. That tearful interview as he was leaving the field the last regular season game of 2006 is a perfect example. His press conference was just another case of his playing it up.

Oh, I don't know......sports related topics that have some degree of relevance, but inane, nonetheless.
Kind of like gems like, oh, I don't know......
UMass advances to the final in NIT.
Holy Cow what a shot. WKU wins in OT on a three.
John Brady to Arkansas St.
Lo and behold.....
I wonder if their jerseys are still damp.
You know, sports topics that may have a slight shread of evident relevance, but other than that, are nothing but discussion pieces to see varied opinions. Nothing Blazer related, but items to talk about. In short, threads that are good to get opinions on, but don't mean squat when it comes to UAB.
