157. QB Brodie Croyle, Sr., Alabama
Croyle showed just how much he meant to the offense last year when the passing game went completely in the tank after a torn right knee ended his season. While he hasn't quite lived up to the recruiting hype, he's been progressing into a great leader and the star of Alabama football. Before the injury, Croyle was impressive throwing for 534 yards and six touchdowns in two-and-a-half games. By all indications, his knee is back to healthy and he'll be as good as new by the start of the season.

Question....does Brodie even deserve this high of a ranking? He possibly could be that high by the end of the season...but I don't see any reason to rank him at all at this point. He's had a career of what...6 or 7 starts? He hasn't even played a full year and this will be his last season. Plus, they mentioned that Alabama's passing game took a nosedive after he got injured...OF COURSE IT DID! They started playing teams tougher than Utah State, Ole Miss, and Western Carolina!

Answer...yes brodie deserves this ranking, he will be higher at the end of the season.
he's started 16 games at alabama.
the passing game took a nosedive BECAUSE brodie got injured, the competition had nothing to do with it.
He very well may be at or above that ranking by the end of the year, but I won't buy into the Brodie hype until I see him perform against decent teams.
um ok, so do you believe the hackney hype?
i'd like to see his numbers against good teams.

what are brodies numbers against good teams? he hasnt made it far enough into the season to even play any good teams.
Yes, players are normally ranked high for not performing. When Hackney sat out due to injury those two seasons, we could have won the National Championship so hackney should be top 10 and Brodie top 20.

If Brodie is injured again and misses 4 or 5 games, he might win the Heisman because with him the Turds could have won the National Championship.
Now, now. Don't make fun.

We all know that if Brodie hadn't gotten hurt, we'd have captured Osama bin Laden and balanced the budget!

If Croyle misses 4 or 5 games next year, he'll have completed 2 seasons in 4 years.

I don't know if y'all are aware of Mr. Croyle's name change during the off season. I heard he got it changed in just enough time to get into the football media guide. His new name: "If Only Brodie Croyle". If you do happen to have a copy of their media guide, do the following steps: 1) Find an article about the If Only Brodie Croyle hype. 2) Tear it out and begin to wipe. 05-moon
I believe if Brodie misses 4 or 5 games we would have discovered a new type of fuel that would eleminate oil but since he was injured............ 03-banghead Damn you Brodie..... 03-banghead
Croyle shouldn't be ranked. He hasn't played enough to prove that he's worthy of any ranking. The kid has a strong arm but he's more fragile than one of our halftime leads in conference play last year (football).

He has an incredible arm, but his throws are not easy for him to make. He has to wind up, extend and step through the throw to get some gas on it. He simply isn't big enough to throw as hard as he tries to.

so you are saying he throws the ball the way he was taught and comes naturally to him.

now that is some smack talk. you could have done better and said something about wiping your 05-moon with his mouthpiece or something like the immature guys on here.
Brodie has been the oddest UAT QB.
Isn't he the highest paid player on your team?

No, I am saying that the overextension of his throwing motion will leave him wide open and vulnerable to big hits as he does not finish in a with a follow through where he can protect himself. Brodie doesn't throw like a QB, he throws like a Centerfielder, and it works fine for 0 to 25 yard passes. But the overextension for the longball will cause him great shoulder problems when he gets to be in his 30's. (voice of experience) And that every pass of any distance from Brodie looks like he is trying to throw a Hail Mary 65 yards.

nope, we didn't have to pay for him. which helped a lot, because we could go out and outbid everyone else for albert means. see if we would have just paid brodie, we wouldn't have had enough money in the budget to outbid ut, arkansas, georgia and everyone else for means, and all this logan young, and probation stuff could have been avoided.

A Bammer admitting that UAT pays it players to play at UAT
Too bad you couldn't afford Carnell Williams, you came in third in the bidding war behinf UTK and Awbun. see what you get for overpaying on means.

yes we all know, it was just a bad business decision by the athletic department. if we could go back in time, i'm sure everyone would rather break the bank on carnell rather than means.
You do know that if you had kept Price you would have at least one more $EC Championship.
