About fourteen games short.
I think I can't figure out why I could possibly care less.
The flow of the article is not that good. Plus, you have a little mis-wording at places.
Look here too:
Quote:He coached them past certain games that they were not the best team on the floor that night, but yet they still prevailed in large part to Knight's leadership and coaching abilities
If they won the game, then yes they were the best team that night. They may not have been the better team in general, but they were that night.
Where's a Mod when you need a troll smackdown. This guy is posting this all over the place.

I think 76 Indiana is most likely the better team but comparing eras is again a problem. Does this hypothetical game have a three-pointer? Shot Clock? 45 or 35 seconds in length? Will the officiating be at 76 standards or 08 "push-and-shove in the post" standards? There are too many variables to make an accurate assessment. I truly believe that the teams from 30 years ago would have a tough time with modern teams' athleticism. In other words, there are probably half a dozen 08 teams out there that could hand 76 Indiana a loss in a one game neutral court scenario, and Memphis is one of them. In a best of seven series, I'd probably take Indiana. But I'd take 73 UCLA over 76 Indiana, too.
The 1976 Indiana team would be about 50 to 55 years old by now. My guess is that one trip up and down the court would wear their butts out. I pick Memphis to win 112 - 15.
I know it's stupid, but so is the mythical match-up with a team from another era. My result is just as valid as his.
Your grammar is better also.
