Thinking of putting Gentoo back on desktop. Couple questions.

1) How is 'desktop recording'?. Think "Fraps".
1a) would it be much of a bitch to Wine -> Game -> Record? (game is played in windowed mode)
2) Memory Address Modifiers? Any good ones in linux that are pretty easy to use? Think CheatEngine.

Yes, I could always 'Duel boot'. But since I never restart my PC that is out of the question . I did linux fine for like 1-2years then I started playing WoW and it was a Pita to get it setup back then.

1) "recordmydesktop" is win.
1a) It records ANYTHING you see on the screen.
2) No idea. I imagine there's tools though.
