is it really going to be called cloverfield or is that still the name until it's release?
03-zzz
I just saw the midnight showing and it blew my mind.
If anyone plans on going to see it and is prone to motion sickness, I would recommend taking medicine before-hand or not seeing it. The entire movie is seen through a handheld camcorder and almost never stops moving and shaking.

Sort of like the Blair Witch Project, huh?

Did you like the movie?
Yeah, I thought it was pretty good. The graphics were amazing. The movie started off pretty calm, and about 15 minutes into the movie all hell breaks loose.

I really like the way of showing a giant monster movie all from the perspective of a random person in the city. There was more humor in it than I was expecting. Not too much to detract from the intensity, but just enough to release some tension in the room when needed. I also liked that they didn't play with you and not show the monster or something stupid like that.

Oh yeah, there is a teaser trailer for Star Trek before the movie! It's just a short pan across of a lot of people building the ship, and a little narration, but I'm still excited.
I can't decide if I want to buy JJ Abrams a drink or punch him in the face. The best way I can describe it is reading the most amazing book you've ever read and then just stop reading it half-way through.

My friend just called me after googling the ending and told me there's about 10 more seconds of the movie after all of the credits. I don't want to ruin it for someone who hasn't seen but don't make the same mistake I did. STAY UNTIL EVERY CREDIT IS FINISHED.
I stayed until after the credits, and I didn't see anything.
You don't see anything, you hear something.
Ah, I looked up what it was. I assume it is very quiet, because I didn't hear it.

Unless you just don't like Sci-fi I think you will enjoy the movie.

???
You sure about that? I stayed til the end and didn't hear or see anything.
PLEASE PM what happens. I really wanted something more to happen at the end.
Just a link of facts about cloverfield.
FYI

Looks like the movie will make 46-50 million over the 4-day holiday period. So much for it being a flop. Oh and there is something at the end of the movie but it isn't worth waiting through 10 minutes of credits to hear it.

It is a backmasked line said against some background noise. The links below contain spoilers...

Here is the end as seen in the theatre: Here

The audio is reversed here.

Ah thanks for the link.
The group I watched the movie with said something like maybe their going to make a bigger, better sequel. Maybe from a different angle/camera or something.
Which, its JJ abrams so milking something for all its worth is kind of taboo with him.

I have read that while making the film, it appeared as thought they were making more than one film. It was stated in a column about their attempt to keep the secret(s) from getting out. I think they left the door wide open for another movie linked to this one...
If they make a prequel/sequel it needs to be about what happened before the attack (where the monster came from) or after the attack (how it died).

See http://www.1-18-08.com

apparently the military blew up a sea monster (not confirmed if it's the one that attacked NYC) and it's carcass is on the beach in the most recent pic.

Well that was strange but I agree with what you said in the 1st paragraph, i'd love a little more info/background on the monster
