How many Red Sox are going to be listed in the 60 - 80 players? Who thinks Mitchell would turn his own team in? After all, he is a director of the Red Sox...

that's one thing that pisses me off about this whole thing. Isn't this a clear conflict of interest?

Well we're about to find out Swoosh! It pisses me off to...

he's a congressman-so OF COURSE he can be totaly trustworthy!05-stirthepot

i don't see many names on this list. One notable name is Roger Clemens. I'm curious as to what people think of him now.
Aside from Schoeneweis, these are all the former Mets in the report.

Lenny Dysktra
David Segui
Josias Manzanillo
Todd Hundley
Matt Franco
Mo Vaughn
Todd Pratt
Paul Lo Duca
Fernando Vina
Gary Matthews, Jr.
Mike Stanton

*Scott Schoeneweis
none of those names are really that interesting.

There weren't many big names on the list, which kinda surprised me.
I called Clemens months ago and you ragged on me for it.

Its funny how many current/former Orioles are on that list. You would figure a team full of roid heads could win some damn baseball games.
Here is the report. 409 pages of tasty goodness...Read up

Id be interested in reading it, but there is no way Im going to do it in PDF and I be damned if Im going to print off 400 pages.

i ragged on you? how is that possible? i've been saying clemens was juicing for months. As far back as 2006 actually. I highly doubt that i criticized you for believing that. I'd be interested in seeing the thread.

I just went back and checked I think you are right. Here is the thread I remember.

You didnt question him using steroids just the rumor of him being secretly suspended. Which seems like it could be a little more possible now.

yeah, but i guess it doesn't make a difference if he stays retired.

All that aside, here's my question. if you had a HOF vote, would you vote for clemens?

Thats a good question. As of right now Clemens is denying what is in the report and there is no real evidence against him. Im not saying I believe him but Ill let some more info come out before I make a decision on him. I think the precedent for players using steroids not going into the HOF has already been set with McGuire. Its kind of ironic that McGuire wasnt one of the players listed in Mitchell's report. I think if the vote was tomorrow I would say no on Clemens, regardless of his numbers cheaters shouldnt be rewarded IMO. This Mitchell report is both fascinating and horrifying at the same time for a baseball fan. I think everyone can agree it is just the tip of the iceberg as far as performance enhancing drugs in baseball.
I can only imagine what would happen if Mitchell did this in football.

Is there any real evidence against Bonds? What's the difference between Bonds and Clemens?

BTW, it's precedent.

Bonds admitted using steroids, he just claimed he didnt know they were steroids how much more evidence do you need?

And yeah I know its precedent, not sure what happpened there, I think the spell checker ****** me, I guess thats what I get for clicking post before I proofread.

Once again, he never really admitted to taking steroids. He admitted to taking substances that the government thinks was steroids. they really have no concrete proof. I still say there's as much proof against him as there is against clemens.

Well he has been indited for perjury, the federal government doesnt **** around so they must have something.

not to play devil's advocate, but you act like the government's never made a mistake. I know it seems like they have a lot of artillery, but i'll believe it when i see it.

Im pretty sure the Feds conviction rate is something like 85% dont hold your breath.
