Attalla,
It is just a bunch of fans from Coogfun.com having fun with Rice before the game this Saturday.
75% percent of the stuff posted isn't meant to be malicious....
I just had some complaints
Where are the fun Rice posters on this board?
OwlJacket and the rest of the gang here usually give better then they get.
What they need is their own smack board so the ones that want to participate can and the ones that don't care about it do not have to look at it.
I can set that up if the rice fans are interested.
OwlJacket is overseas and I'm burnt-out as all hell.

I can set that up if the rice fans are interested.
YES PLEASE and thank you very much.
and I'm burnt-out as all hell.

I know you explained it earlier, but, really, I can't imagine why...
I can set that up if the rice fans are interested.
YES PLEASE and thank you very much.
I ain't touchin that one with a freakin 10 foot pole.....

Thanks. I see at least five more threads on the main board that look like they belong on the smack board...

(for TCU2002/OwlJacket's benefit)
Special note for our special Tulsa friends: some of you have been judged to have too low an intellectual level to post on a Rice message board and too low a maturity level to post on any message board. Rather than have these bad eggs continue to embarrass your institution any further, posts from the following individuals have been banned: RED DIRT, jerlandur, Gold. The rest of you are free to post in accordance with established AUP. Smack goes on the smack board, discussion goes on the main board.
If you feel anyone else needs to be added to this list, please PM me. And if you are on the list and can't show enough self-restraint to stop posting here, please PM me and I will ensure you are banned (from all boards, not just this one).
(since even people on this list can't take the hint)
Are we being a little too quick to delete posts from opponents' fans? IMO, just move the mean-spirited ones to the smack board and let the posts (and their titles) speak for themselves.
I don't mean to be critical of our mods. I just want to be a little more welcoming of opposing opinions.
Mods have a difficult job. They have to run the board how they see fit and sometimes their actions will not please everyone. Sometimes posts that a regular poster think are harmless are moved for other reasons only known to the mods. Trust their judgment as they are doing the best they can to keep your board a friendly place for Rice fans as well as visitors. Mods cannot please everyone all the time and they shouldn't try to. You can't. The Rice mods do a great job and I think allot of them.
Opposing fans and opinions are of course welcome, provided they behave themselves. I don't think anyone wants the "RiceIsSmallTime" contingent to return.
Unfortunately, one of our previously-banned Tulsa Trolls came back and was starting to pollute the "surprised" thread. I went ahead and split out all the Tulsa portion of that thread so I could take care of that problem, which caused some folks to go ballistic.
Fire away--no complaints here. There are "different opinions"--which are fine--and there is just plain cr@p, which should get flushed--as the mods have been doing. Thank you!

Parliament AUP
AUP LAST UPDATED: 11/12/07
Overview
The Parliament strives to maintain the loose, laid back, and (generally speaking) anything goes environment. However, with the increase in traffic comes an increase in troublemakers. This AUP and some of the catch-all rules it has is a necessary evil to formally deal with these troublemakers.
All posters must adhere to the AUP. It is pinned atop the Parliament main boards. If they post elsewhere as well, then in addition, they must adhere to the policies of the NCAAbbs Global AUP and C-USA AUPs.
If you are a visiting fan to the Parliament, please remember you are a GUEST here and can be treated less fairly than Owl fans. You will be on a much shorter leash than the average Rice fan.
If you have a problem with the way a situation is handled (i.e. deleted posts or threads, moved or locked posts moderation disagreements) please take it to PM to the moderators or admin and not on the forums. At any time, the administration of Parliament has the right to use their sole discretion when making decisions about posts that are 1) deemed inappropriate, and 2) perceived to incite people in a negative (or distasteful) way.
General Rules
* Any personal attack on other posters, school administration, and/or student athletes is subject to immediate removal without notice at the discretion of mods and admins.
* There are two Parliament boards – a main board and a smack board. All posts intended to insult or inflame should be posted on the smack board. At the moderators discretion, any posts that are deemed to cross the line (or are likely to quickly result in the deterioration of the conversation on the main board) may be moved from the main to the smack board or deleted.
* Spamming is grounds for immediate banning, no questions asked. Repeated offenses can lead to offending ISP/Host contacted or litigation in accordance with federal anti-spam laws.
* Please watch the language on any forum. We do have a language filter on these forums, however it doesn't filter everything.
* Sex talk and innuendo's are generally not acceptable for these forums, however please remember that most here are adults (not children) so this rule will be loosely enforced, but will be enforced if necessary. Generally these forums are Rated PG.
* Defamation of NCAAbbs or Parliament, intent to damage our reputation, or trying to start a relocation campaign is not acceptable here and grounds for immediately banning, no questions asked.
* Posting and/or Linking to Pornography is absolutely unacceptable.
* Links to competing boards are acceptable if it is to real and related content, and not an advertisement. It is up to the discretion of the mods/admin as to what constitutes an advertisement and what does not.
* All tickets advertised MUST BE AT FACE VALUE OR LESS. SCALPING IS UNACCEPTABLE.
* You remain responsible for the content of your posts. NCAAbbs or the Parliament, in accordance with the congressionally passed Communications Decency Act, CANNOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for illegal or otherwise illicit content in your posts.
* There's a fine line between the posters we all love to hate, and the ones that give everyone a headache. The second of the two is not an admirable place to be. If it's clear the majority of the community receives a headache because of you, NCAAbbs and Parliament admins reserve the right to revoke your account and/or use of NCAAbbs or Parliament without notice. In general, if you are causing people to leave the community because of your actions, you risk the possibility of being banned... even if you're so good at walking the line you have technically broken no rules. Parliament and NCAAbbs will not let you ruin everybody else's experience and get away with it just because you're very good at walking the line or just generally perceived as a troublemaker.
* Questions about edited or deleted posts should be voiced in private to the mod/admin that did it. If you don't know who, e-mail support (at) ncaabbs (dot) com. Violation of this rule is subject to a warning and posts will be deleted, moved, or locked at the moderators and admin’s discretion.
* If you are wondering where your post went – check the smack board first.
* Moderators have a supplemental set of guidelines to abide by as well as those of all other NCAAbbs posters. These guidelines are pinned atop the Moderator Forum.
* Using these boards is a privilege, not a right. All NCAAbbs or Parliament admins reserve the right to ban/disable your account for any period of time without notice, advanced warning, or reason.
* Users are responsible for monitoring for changes in the AUP. After a change is made, they have 24 hrs to abide by the new rules.
* Signatures/Avatars cannot contain any nudity. This includes but is not limited to: pubic hair, genitals, female nipples, mesh/"see-through" clothing that shows any of the preceding, nor pictures that leaves virtually nothing to the imagination. Violations of these rules are at the sole discretion of the Parliament moderating team.
* If you have a problem with people’s avatars/signatures and they are not deemed in violation of any of the rules, please go to your Profile and disable the viewing of avatars/signatures. If they are not in violation of the rules they will not be asked to remove anything. If you have small children and don't want them seeing certain things then you really need to disable avatars/signatures. Every forum is AT LEAST rated PG and that may be too much for kids under 12.
* If you cannot get along with a certain poster here, please remember this board does include an ignore feature. We HIGHLY suggest you use it. We are not going to police this site like a straight-line dictatorship. We've never had to in the past and we don't plan on doing that in the future.
Most of us have known each other for quite a while and know how another poster is. If that poster bothers you, just put them on ignore. There are a lot worse things in life than worrying about every small thing someone posts.
* Any member using information garnered from Parliament or NCAAbbs to harass, or attempting to harass, fellow members via PM's or another medium is subject to immediate banning at the sole of discretion of Parliament administration. In addition, using information gleaned from the board to libel, slander, or commit academic fraud is completely unacceptable and will result in immediate banning. Situations of this type will not be tolerated and should be immediately reported to Parliament moderators and/or NCAAbbs administration.
* The admins and moderators of Parliament are not bound by these rules when making administrative decisions. These rules are meant as a general guideline to follow.
Copyright Infringement
* Posting copyrighted material without the permission of the author/owner is unacceptable. Parliament or NCAAbbs is not liable for any content you post, and can be forced to turnover information about you should a copyright holder subpoena Parliament or NCAAbbs for infringing posts you have made.
* Copyright holders or people who are otherwise claiming illegal posts were made can request immediate post removal by sending a Private Message (PM) to the moderators and putting "Copyright Issue" in the subject line. The post will be removed as soon as possible. If the post is not removed within 1 hour, please send a Private Message (PM) to another board moderator as generally one of us is online at most times of the day.
***Loose enforcement of this AUP is at the SOLE discretion of the moderators of Parliament. If a complaint is made, this AUP will be consulted to determine whether a warning should be or will be issued and/or further disciplinary action up to and including termination of account privileges.***
