It's slow as balls. Takes forever to load. When it eventually does come up, it takes me a minute to add any files. Freezes up very often, to where I have to restart. It has to update my collection everytime I go back to it, even after it's already running. I've heard great things about Amarock, wtf's going on?

Also I cannot d/l anything thru azureus while on the internet. Never been a problem before.
I doubt anyone will respond, but thanks for reading. Maybe I'll try, which I shoulda tried first anyways, some ubuntu forum. But as I've found out are pretty much like this.
I haven't had any problems with Amarok lately, but because I'm having some glitches with my internet connection using Ubuntu, I'm not on it at the moment.
It's weird, cause I heard this was the best music player. But I've been having a lot of trouble lately after the upgrade.
Too be honest, it's kinda of pissing me off. I'm not great w/ computers, why run linux (long story), but I havent' had trouble with Amarock in the past. It's just taking forever to load. And when it does, well, it's still a mess. I'm thinking about trying a different outlet.
Try XMMS; I love it, and it puts you in the mindframe of Winamp.
don't like xmms. don't like songbird, but it's what i've been playing, cause it's semi-reliable. Though once I erase an album or a song from my collection, it still lists it in my collection and when the song comes up on random, it reads "error." To be honest I've had more luck with windows re" music devices. Of course I know sh!t about computers, and a buddy turned me onto Linux, and I love it save for listening to music. Amarock just pisses me off. Is it something I'm doing wrong?
I've all but had it with Songbird. If I want to listen to an artist from s-t, fo-get-about it. and i can only listen to a percentage of the music i add. YOU SUCK SONGBIRD.
Sounds like perhaps your amarok database needs some assistance.... copy and paste the output of this from command line:

sudo ls /var/lib/mysql
