I don't know if Southern Miss' AD has looked into it, but I think it would be wise for Southern Miss to schedule some games against Georgia Tech. I did some recruiting research on Rivals, and I noticed you guys recruited the state of Georgia hard for a few years, and then quit. Why?? Anyway, if you played some games against Georgia Tech, it would give you guys exposure in Georgia again, against a very beatable opponent. Also, congrats on the good game against Memphis.
Ok, someone give me some feedback here on this idea. Either it's incredibly good or incredibly bad, and I'd really like to know which it is.
I would be all for a series with Tech, as long as it was nothing worse than a two for one. The away games are a easy drive, and Atlanta is a great place to spend the weekend.
It would help recruiting if we played you guys competitive and not like we performed against Boise. I don't any recruit is impressed by watching a team get manhandled.
Great idea. We did talk to them and the AD said that their alumni "had no interest in Southern Miss as an opponent". Kinda funny since all of the alumns that I work with and know around town liked it. I think he meant "We don't want to risk an OOC loss."
