Four-time NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Jeff Gordon only led one lap in Sunday's UAW-500 but it was the only one that mattered in NASCAR's first Car of Tomorrow race at a restrictor-plate track.

Gordon, who pushed teammate Jimmie Johnson to the front in the closing laps, jumped out from behind Johnson in the closing two miles and in front of two-time champion Tony Stewart, who pushed Gordon to his fifth victory of the season at Talladega Superspeedway.
