Lots of Falcons, UGa, Braves, and even some Ga. Tech talk (beating the daylights out of Notre Dame helped), and yep, Kennesaw is still in a different county, and it smelled like the Tyson Chicken plant in Wilkesboro, North Carolina... Come on guys ya'll are too quiet! Where's the banter! Better yet, can ya'll name ALL 37 of Tony Ingle's kids? How many chins does he have?
I am starting to miss those Kennesaw kids, myself.
well what do you all want to argue about?
Let's argue about womens soccer. That's sure to rile up the good ol' boys from bumblejuck tennessee!
Someone said a player of ours kicked the keeper for Wofford in the jaw. That's gangsta!
You want to talk about playing rough? how bout our Club Hockey team. I wondered why all the teams hated us then I saw us cross checking, hooking, cheap shotting, running up the score and starting fights left and right.
I guess our soccer team has been taking notes from our hockey team.
Yeah, I haven't been a fan of our hockey style either. There's a ton of people that go to the games and say they love it. I've heard hockey FANS describe how good they are. That's not hockey and shame on them for not seeing through the antics. They do all that stuff mentioned. Life university keeps coming back for more though, I have no idea why.
Gold,
I don't think I missed them so much after all.
Open critism about our own school. I know that's unheard of at ETSU even though your school has done more self-flagillation than all of the other schools in the conference combined.
Nick, I believe open criticism in regards to Kennesaw State is not controversial but instead justified...thus it fails to spark debate.
That's what happens when you have as many collective fans as King College.
Only someone that cheered for a school in the backwoods of Tennessee would even know where King College is... cheer up Johnson City your terrible town is about to have their prize jewel, ETSU athletics, back in the swing again. It most get lonely up there in the offseason when the only way you pass the time is either shooting squirrels out your back window or kissing your sister.
My town is better than your town. So there!
Okay seriously, you guys gave us John Rocker and The Dukes of Hazzard... Apparently you've not driven 30 minutes to Ellijay lately, or 15 minutes up to Woodstock. And no matter what happens, we're not named after a wussy bird, you guys should change your names to the KSU Whooping Cranes, atleast then you wouldn't be stealing from Temple.

How is an Owl a wussy bird?
It is not a wussy bird... it is intense! At least our mascot actually lives in the area... last i checked East Bumble didnt have a bunch of pirates running around...
It is true...
The Owl is a pathetic mascot.
But then again so is the camel.
I think a Bucaneer is a "flimsy" pirate. I'll take the Owl anyday.
I like the bucs, unintelligent outcasts, bannished from the civilized world, left to pillage their own shipmates and steal from anyone in sight.
Owls are tough, much like the Terrapin....
many ppl do fear the turtle
I've ran over a turtle before on accident. Never an owl.
Good to see Smacktalk is back to it's pointless argument self. When's the first game again?
KSU is going to run over ETSU like a turtle this year.
I don't think you want to mess with one of these --

Does anyone see why I miss football so much now?
"Air predators are a another type of predator that attack our chickens. Hawks and owls swoop down and grab up a chicken and fly away with it. Too many times we have found an owl or hawk on the road munching on one of our chickens."
see they are tough
Me and Kevin were talking to a few UT students this past weekend, and were having a few laughs at the expense of ETSU, its students, and town. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
We also had a long conversation while sitting in a bar in Kennesaw about how fast we could be in Atlanta if we wanted to go down town right away, they specifically said, "Wow Kennesaw is so close to Atlanta.. you should just call it Atlanta"
Just to clarify...
Not THIS Kevin.
Hey Collin, Mexico is so close to the United States so why don't we just call it the U.S.?
You have to love flawed logic
This coming from someone who is from the "tri cities" area... why not give them one label (that others from far away will recognize) since the cities are so close to each other? Weird.. Oh wait they did. One of the UT girls actually thought she was in Atlanta lol.
I hope you aren't in school to become a lawyer. You'd never make it.
I don't believe we took Kingsport and called it Johnson City.
That doesn't surprise me...UT girls are known being naive and easy to take to bed.
I think you missed my point... Notice I never made reference to Kennesaw being Atlanta. I just pointed out that people often label a town or city due to its proximity to another. For instance, the tri cities area surely includes other towns and cities outside of Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol and residents in these other communities most likely tell others they are from the tri cities area. Hence, the idea of being a suburb (or CLOSE to a larger city!) and using the larger more recognizable label to demonstrate your location to others- enter the term Metro Atlanta. Collin was just making reference to the ETSU argument that Kennesaw is not a suburb of Atlanta when it clearly is. I am done with it!
But either way the UT fans laughed at ETSU and were almost on the floor when we told them how you guys thought you were a powerhouse in the past.
But just for Goldfinger... Kennesaw Fans can we please refer to Kennesaw as Metro Atlanta now. Thanks.

It was Collins "friend" who said you should call it Atlanta.
You cannot compare the Tricities to suburbs. They are three seperate cities with three seperate names. It is no different from the TRI-State area. Nobody calls one of the three states the other. When they are grouped together for reasons of comparisons...a completely different name is used. The reason for this is that they are all relatively equal to each other in stature. The same cannot be said for suburbs. Of which Kennesaw is not.
But even if Kennesaw were a suburb of Atlanta....WHO ******* CARES? WHY DO YOU PEOPLE INSIST ON GOING ON ABOUT IT. NOBODY GIVES A ****. YOU ARE THE SAME LITTLE RANK AMATUER TEAM AS A SUBURB OF ATLANTA THAT YOU ARE AS A COMPLETELY SEPERATE ENTITY. LET IT GO MAN!
I would think one would rather stand on his own rather than being grouped into a larger city. But then again I've always been one for independence.
And as far as the UT students...three years ago UT basketball wasn't worth its weight in cow dung. And the so-called students that you talked to are most likely too young to remember ETSU's national scene. And even if they do...they're ignorant opinions can't take down the top ten banner at the dome.
Please lets not call it a dome... it is an airplane hanger... keep it real.
I think you missed my point again... I was highlighting cities or towns outside of the three named cities in the area who are still held under the same label. But this is stupid. I am done!
Enough of your penis envy
Enough of your pen1s envy
Goldfinger will you be at the ETSU KSU game?
What cities or towns are there that are held under the same label?
OH MAN, First CaPs then the pen-fifteen club. Maybe you aren't 50.
I've had to bring my self down to be able to communicate, Nick
Gold I am done with it! You know what I am talking about. Look at a map and read the cities in the area lol Are you kidding you missed both of my points. I am done talking to gold lol
quad = 4... wanna keep going?
Haha.. I was just poking fun and now look what happened.. Didn't we already have this debate in a huge thread a few months ago?

Lol, in the same post you tell us we aren't a suburb of Atlanta...Then flip out saying it doesn't matter and no one cares.. Goldilocks got upset over it..so maybe you do care?
deja vu
Oh well, I like it in Georgia. The weather's beautiful and women are even better. Cheers!
I tried this argument...the ETSU fans apparently don't enjoy it when you make so much sense. Cheap shots are always easier than logical analysis. I really hope that Goldfinger's schtick is just a ruse...if not it is truly pathetic.
If you look at it, you'll find that it is Collin who started this nonsense again. KSU fans can't stand it when their propoganda is challenged. That's a fact.
He started it..You replied and flipped out over it.. That's a fact.
