I'm going to be working on a new skin to be unveiled next week.. I need some thoughts on a board name...

sweet! terp colors on the tarboard!

Looks great! I LOVE the Old Well up top.

I'm bad at coming up with names, but I agree that it would help to come up with one for the board. It draws more people when you're able to say, "We're going to post over at _______" instead of "We're going to post over at the ACCbbs UNC board."

For now, though, it looks great. Big upgrade over the generic look that was here before.

Great, except for the twerp icons

We're going to fix those... it was late last night when I got the skin changed over and I didn't get a chance to update the icons..

Okay, I'm throwing out some crazy name ideas here:

TarNation or TarNation! (as in "What in tarnation...?!")
Blue Heaven
TarHeelVoices
TheBatteringRam

I like:

BlueHeaven -- actually, that was my first banner mockup.
TheBatteringRam -- I like that in the same vein as "ShellShock" for Maryland's skin.

Edit -- if I can find a reliable picture of the mascot, I want to try "BatteringRam"...

The reason I mentioned TheBatteringRam is because we had an old foozball player nicknamed "The Battering Ram," and that's where the ram mascot came from. So, it's historically accurate for UNC as well as cool-sounding.

Another option along the same lines as TheBatteringRam would be TheStruttingRam. That's also unique because whenever you talk about a strutting ram, you know you're talking about UNC's mascot.

I have to say that I like "BlueHeaven" too, if we decide to stick with that. It's nice to have a name for this forum.

Except for the fact that State's mascot is called the Strutting Wolf. You prolly don't want to be too closely affiliated with anything State... ;-)
