I've had ubuntu on my laptop for a couple months now, and backed up my music prior to the switch. I doubt ubuntu is the problem, but my hard drive keeps on crapping out. Will play for about 10 minutes sometimes, a few hours other times before it starts beeping and finally ceasing operations. I've got a seagate barraccuda 7200.7. Thanks.
