Who is your favorite player in baseball?

You have to pick someone who isnt on your favorite team.

I think ill have to go with Aaron Rowand. That guy is a bad ass.
yeah he is one tough mofo. i'd have to go with tejada. he loves baseball more than any player i've ever watched. He plays every spring training game, 162 regular season games, the entire Caribbean winter league and when his team makes it, the caribbean WS.
Too bad he doesnt hit power now that he is off the roids. :(

wow, do you accuse everybody of being on roids? i thionk he doesn't hit for as much power because he plays too many games. They guy's probably tired.

You must not be too good with short term memory, when Palmerio got busted for steroids he said it was from Tejada's B12 shot.

NEWS FLASH: atleast 80% of major leaguers were on roids, ask Buster Olney.

i remember, but i live in america where people are innocent until proven guilty.

not to mention palmeiro is obviously a liar. i'm not saying he lied on that occasion, but most people feel he's lied before, why do you choose to believe him now?

So are you going to go around assuming that only the handful of player who have been suspended used steroids? That is pretty naive if you ask me.

no of course not. But on the other hand, i'm not gonna be like you and condemn any player mentioned. If proven, (insert player) will be guilty, if not he will be innocent.

You shouldn't applaud rowand, he's probably on steroids. if you're correct, 4 out every 5 players on the phillies are on steroids, so there's a good chance rowand is.

I assume everyone was on steroids so everything pretty much evens out.

Some players had drops in production so sudden (*cough*Jay Gibbons *cough*) its impossible to ignore.

If Aaron Rowand was on steroids it didnt really help him all that much, he is having the best year of his career, now that they are testing.

And frankly I dont care whether or not Tejada Gibbons or anyone else was on steroids or not. Im just pissed they are no longer productive power hitters without the juice.

I mean look at Brian Roberts do you think it is a coincidence that he hit more than 3 times his previous career high in homers when he was Palmerio's teammate? The guy is 5'9 170 how many guys that small hit 18 homers in a season??
honestly, i think that roberts season was just one of those things.
i was perusing roberts' stats earlier and noticed he's playing nearly as well this year as he did the year you said he took steroids. some of the stats are better, some are worse. He's poised to end with a lot more SB's this year and many more walks with about the same amount of K's. In fact, one could argue that this is his best season so far.
True, he is having a great year, but this season isnt over yet, up to now 05 is still his most productive season.

Steroids or not, I love Brian Roberts, I think he is the best second basemen in the American League.

yeah, i'd say he's the best. but like him because of the games i watched him play at UNC, he was a freakin line drive machine. His dad was really cool too. Unfortunately, i still don't know why he was run out of town.

I really dont follow college baseball very closely but hasnt UNC been the runner up in the College World series the past two seasons? Id Say they are doing pretty well without BRob's father.

oh definitely, in retrospect it was a great move. But that isn't what's weird. They had very good teams back then with a lot of excellent players. Most of them either didn't make it or sucked in the bigs, but they were excellent in college. He helmed some damn good teams, yet in the blink of an eye he was gone... it was strange. Obviously coach roberts' teams weren't as good as the present UNC teams, but i didn't see a reason to fire him. So he was gone and his son immediately transferred to South Carolina.
