I don't think Maryland sucks -- you looked really impressive at the start of the year. I realize the loss of McCray was a big one, but I still think Maryland has some good pieces in place to make some noise in the ACC.
I was very surprised to see the Heels win in College Park, but I think a lot of that was due to some bad shot selection for the Terps. They just didn't seem to have the same patience in the second half that they did in the first half - when they were passing the ball around and getting a lot of dunks and easy baskets. The Terps started to fall behind in the second half, and it they starting taking quick, foolish shots.
I saw some of the game against State on Sunday, and I thought Maryland was sloppy and impatient again... but yet you only lost by 4 at State. I think Maryland just needs to show up for a full 40 minutes and play inspired basketball, and the ship will be righted.
